I left my house in search of a good place to spend a couple days away from all the situation from this COVID-19 with my family, ended up in Jaco in this hotel paying almost 350 thousand colones for two nights and didn’t have a good experience, at the buffet they had food with mold which we found out when my son was eating a piece of cake full of it went to the pastry bar and found out that all the pastries had mold in it went back to my room and little after someone showed up at my door with a bottle of cooking wine (clos) to apologize, we decided not to stay the two nights and left the next morning it’s been two weeks already and we have not gotten a refund back and all they do is give us the runaround. ????

Travelled with my son from March 12-19 via Transat Holidays. First impression was not great, we arrived approximately 2 hours before 'official' check in time and were told we could not check in unless we paid $25USD per person. I have never experienced this in any all inclusive hotel anywhere south. I agreed to pay, what were we supposed to do, go into town with our luggage after travelling since 3am that day? So then I pay, and he says 'sorry your room won't be ready until 3pm, come back. So essentially I just paid $50 for them to keep my luggage and get our bracelet so we could eat something? Not impressed at all. Beyond that, things were quite good. Some quick points: The food was really tasty and flavourful, enough variety with the fish and meats at dinner to not get bored. Lots of fruits and veggies. The beach snack bar didn't have much variety, but worked well for my teen at lunch. The staff overall were very friendly and lovely. This is a much smaller all inclusive than I have ever been to, so not having any a la cartes or nightly entertainment was different for me, but for a clean and comfortable stay it was wonderful. Very grateful for the pool table! The view from our room on the 5th floor was stunning. The beds are very hard for my taste, but the pillows are great. Water pressure was pretty weak in the shower, but we always had hot water. There are no chairs right at the beach unless someone has pulled one down and left, you can drag your own down from the hotel grass area. The beach chairs are also plastic and quite uncomfortable. It would be nice to have some better chairs and not have to get them to the beach yourself. There is also no shade at the beach, just be warned. We had a lot of fun in the waves, body surfing and surfing are great there with a couple rental places right beside the hotel. There are a lot of rocks at the shoreline, so bring water shoes if you have sensitive feet. Once you are out in the water it is sandy. It is a short walk to downtown if you want to do some shopping or try some local restaurants. I would definitely return to this hotel.

    1. i have seen the waiters in the dinning room REUSE the water from ppl tabels! that is NOT OK! 2. no room at the hotel with one single king bed? what if we come for our honey moon? we need to get a room with two beds? 3.the internet did NOT work in the room. 4. ENA the new girl at reception, amazing!!! she is defiantly the best employ in your hotel! she cares for ppl she go beyond what you asked for, just amazing. 5. the entire stuff was just so friendly but not in annoying way. our friends stayed at CROCS right next to us which was a luxury hotel and they said the stuff was awful and treat them like the owe them something for staying there.. so i guess the bottom line its really come to the costumer service you receive at the hotel.. there for i will recommend this hotel in the future, just its always good to be aware of the "bed stuff" as well.

It was amazing except for the beach but the stay done their best above and beyond I will definitely fo bck its sure is Pura Vida. The food could change menu a bit but they do what they can with what they have . The beach needs cleaning also maybe it's not their fault but idk it's not clean at all.. liquor could be more options also and a bit stronger but other than that the room are not too big either but it's nice outside the rooms.
