We have been travelling to many sunny countries around the world, including Cuba. We were pleasantly surprise by the Melia Internacional Level for Adult. The place is brand new but the staff is well trained, the food was very good, yes I did say very good! The beach probably one of the best in the world. We truly enjoyed the Mosaico restaurant and the great service from Karina and Edelys, felt we were almost having breakfast in a 4-seasons. The staff, everyone was truly exceptional. Great job from Sergio and Rubier at the beach, and Yedelyn at the pool. We want to thank them all for making our journey a memorable one and we wish to this new hotel all the success it deserves. All the concierge were excellent and truly great leadership from Mabel who is always there for you. Also want to mention the team from the Tex-Mex who also did a great job. Would return with no hesitation.

If only the food could be improved.....

We've just returned from our first visit to Cuba and were lucky enough to spend three weeks staying at the Internacional. The good things have rightly been previously and repeatedly reported on by other reviewers - an unbelievable beach, overall hotel cleanliness, the very comfortable bedrooms, great entertainment and the staff attitude are all fantastic. I would like to make a special mention about all of the staff working at the pizza outlet and its bar who were all so hard working and very friendly people who absolutely treated us like Kings! Thank you Yaya, Claudia, Hector and one other young lad who's name escapes me (sorry) For us (as an English couple of 50ish years of age) the only issue would be the standard of the food. It's easy to see that the staff and management are trying to improve in this area but they have many hurdles to overcome and, with the sanctions faced by this country, they will probably never quite get there...That said, we always found something to eat and we never went hungry. The hotel A La Carte's were ok but in our experience nothing particularly special. We did though not experience any uncooked food and I particularly found the fish dishes always lovely. We found the friendliness of the people, beauty and safety of the area, brand new hotel, plus fantastic weather were more than enough to compensate for the food "issues" and we would certainly return in the future. We are aware that some other UK guests we met during our stay didn't have quite as high an opinion as us but we can only speak as we found. All in all, we had a great relaxing holiday in a very beautiful hotel and country. Top tip - if spending time around the pool area, set up camp near the pizza cafe and bar for the best service and an acceptable volume from the entertainment music which we found too loud if we ventured around the swim up bar area.

Am not big on reviews but I just want to say i had a had a best time at this hotel "Meliã International" to be honest as a Jamaican the food is a little different for me but thats what culture is about. And with my friend and i speaking a little Spanish by little Spanish meaning not enough Spanish, communications wasn't so hard. The staff at the level was always ready to assess you. I just want to say thank you specifically to a few employees that works at the level lobby and the main restaurant who went over and beyond our expectations. -Bryan -Ladien -Dayana -Osiel -Ariel -Jesus -Lazaro Jauier from security -Daima from the main restaurant So thanks Claudia from barracuda for the lovely diving experiences Thats to you all once again!!! One love from Jamaica Roy and Gail

I have never written a review before but feel the need to after visiting here. We have just finished our 2 week stay here and it’s the first year I have ever been on holiday and wanted to go home. If you are English then sorry I would not advise you to go. The food is absolutely terrible. Especially in the buffet. They do not cater for English guests at all. And I totally agree with the other comments made. Firstly the hotel itself is lovely but it is not 5 star by any means. We have lost loads of weight being here. Breakfast - Bacon raw , no beans , no tomatoes, no sausage unless you like hot dog sausage or spicy. Flies everywhere. Lunch and tea time same food all the time. Pork rice pasta. Day in day out. Not a lot of salad either. No lettuce no onion no tomato again. Restaurants are better but you can’t always get them. They alternate the days of opening of them. Also they need to get proper chefs as I had chicken twice that was raw in the middle so check your food before eating. Most of the staff cannot understand English either which was a problem when asking what certain foods were. It was guess work. We have had no hot drink for 2 weeks either as the coffee is terrible and the tea is even worse. They put cold water in the cup and heat it up in the microwave. I could go on and on. It’s such a shame as we had high hopes for this place but if it keeps it’s five stars I will be very shocked. For us the food was a major issue. Also they run out of stuff very easily. They ran out of orange juice and cola while we were here. Entertainment- Spanish songs all day long and same ones every day. They speak in Spanish as well as there are more here so again leave us English out. Night time no shows just clarinet or violinist Positive. Beach was beautiful and the views were great. Modern looking hotel. Would I go back ? Definitely not
