Great vacation resort, totally upgraded, large friendly staff is there for you. Excellent white beach with light surf and great swimming, lots of water sports included. The beach is public but vendors are not bothersom: in fact their presence adds a certain Antiguan appeal. The resort offers an older and a newer sections in terms of buildings, it has numerous restaurants, some formal others less formal. A great place to relax for a week or two, or longer. Many spectacles are offered nightly. The food is exceptional. If you are a diver make sure to register as all SCUBA activities are included. The SPA is very agreable. Try it out, you won't be disappointed: garantied.

I wanted to give a shout out to the team at Kimonos & Soy! Jessica, Joven, George, Nix, Janice, Carlika and Kaiara (sorry if the names are spelled wrong) were great! The food at both restaurants were my favorite throughout my stay at Sandals. They were also the most welcoming and friendliest staff at any restaurant at Sandals. Overall, Sandals in Antigua was great! The beach is kept clean and the water is unbelievable. The resort is kept up nicely and I always had a good time. I would also like to give another shout out to James at the Piano bar, he went above and beyond to help my husband and I out while we waited for a reservation that was delayed due to the weather. Great customer service!

    20 moths and a roach

First of all this is a beautiful property in Antigua but I have been there 3 times and each time it has gotten worse. When I first went there, the service blew me away. I went to the bakery and they were out of the gluten free items. I was asked what I would like and I said something chocolate. A whole chocolate flourless cake was delivered to my room later. I guess we got spoiled. They also made the most amazing gluten AND vegan cake for my anniversary ceremony. This is not an easy feat. They also had the most amazing gluten free menu at the Tex Mex restaurant. The second time I came here it was gone. And the third time was beyond ridiculous. We had like 20 or more moths that were always outside our room. I kept calling and asking them to do something which they never did. I was told they would tell housekeeping but I don't think that is their job. They spray the place everyday so I know they have people that can handle it. I was in one of the middle rooms but still paying thousands of dollars and I think we deserve to be able to sit outside our room. I finally went down to the front desk and the person behind the desk asked me to walk around where she showed me other places the moths were. Seriously? There were only a few where she showed me. Later that day I found a big roach in bathroom. I can't understand how this place can be so callous. I really loved this place and if you told me this was the only place I could go to for the rest of my life, I would have been happy but now after many years of going to Sandals, we are going to try something else. They used to be great about the gluten free thing but now at the buffet, the chefs seem confused and told me something didn't have gluten when in fact it did. It was also obvious that this would have gluten so if the people cooking the food have no clue then it is not safe for me.

Stayed for 5 nights in September - the beach is gorgeous: soft, powdery white sand; clear water; amazing scenery. The food is good, but definitely not "wow". Unfortunately the beach-front French restaurant/buffet was closed for renovations while we were there. The room was ok - a bit of dated decor, pretty small size, tiny balcony. The most disappointing thing was the lack of nightly entertainment - no music playing anywhere, just people wondering around the resort looking for things to do. We would return to Sandals only for the incredible beach and beautiful grounds.

bout a 20minute ride to airport from Sandals. Watch those who unload your bag from the taxi, they will take your bag from the taxi to the gate. Then they look for a tip, if you have wheels on your bags, thank them politely but deny the service. As they unload from taxi, they will ask what airline. Limited food places in the terminal after you get through security. Don’t loose that small white bottom part of the Antigua immigration paper. This is given to you upon entry and is required for exit. The taxi fare is included but we did tip the driver. Passing through the v c bird terminal was quick. No tsa precheck, so those shoes come off, belts are off and laptop out of the case. I did remove my iPad from the bag. Ok corral was ok. Great app but the ribs were mixed. Three different types of ribs, first was fall off the bone tender. The second was ok but a bit tougher. The third was a type of rib I never tried to eat before very tough. Couldn’t find separate ribs, seemed like rib bones going two directions. The margaritas was tasty. Mario and bayside were great breakfasts, pretty much the same selection from a buffet. Worth the wait for your omelet. Hot dog lady with her kart was perfect, foot long dogs you can take into the restaurant. Managers dinner was quite nice. Pumpkin soup, surf and turf, and a nice dessert. Got our 70 night cert, called up in front of the 165 folks, did a little floss. Very similar to a cruise where they recognize all the functions — housekeeping, tour desk, restaurants, reception. Going to st lucia next year. Beach water was warm, got a bit rougher. Was told there were jellyfish. Didn’t see any until the sunset cruise. Plenty of beverages rum punch and captain special. About 40 guests on board. Spectacular sunset. Some crazy entertainment by the crew, something about bamboo. Landing in the dark with the catamaran up on the beach. So naturally as I get off a wave comes along and I’m wet almost to my belt. But all was salvaged by a great French menu at bayside. Chateau brigands was good, so was the French onion soup. First night was a beachfront barbecue. After some local dancing entertainment it was meal time. Saturday night was spraying for bugs, no too bad but some clouds of smoke on the property. Bars don’t begin serving until 10am. The 30minute spa treatment was great. Worked the neck and back, nice. Relaxing. Had Italian at Mario’s. Pasta was aldente, but the rib eye was a bit tough even with a covering of greens. Reservations fill up fast a Elenor’s, actually never got in. Did see hummingbird and the cats are friendly. They ask you not to feed them in the restaurant but that doesn’t seem to apply to cat people. Housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping the room super clean and always fresh towels and soaps.
