A nice all inclusive with lots to offer including beautiful sunsets and friendly staff

Scott L on Apr 12, 2024

Starting from the beginning, there is a lot to say positive about the resort. The location is convenient and wonderful for beach goers. The property is clean, well lit at night, and the staff is super friendly and relatively helpful although we felt it was understaffed at times. Tables and common areas often go un-wiped at times. Coffee bar needs extra hands and we avoided it at times because of longer lines and opted for buffet coffee instead (which was fine) but the lattes are better than the buffet coffee. Our room was well maintained daily and we felt confident leaving belongings out and using the safe. The veranda rooms (where we stayed) are a 30 second walk to the beach where we had no problems finding a palapa and beach chairs each day. The water stations and ice machines are all over the place making it easy to keep our insulated cups full and cold. Pools are clean, well kept and available. The buffet is basic, but has something for everyone. We ate breakfast each morning there. Lunch we figured out as we went, and dinners were available throughout the resort via reservations at the handful of restaurants. Reservations however, were hard to come by some nights and must be made only 2 days in advance. The restaurant food was a 5 out of 10, but we made it work. No need to complain, our favorite was pure lime for Mexican. The drink options at the resort bars need an overhaul. They all use wayyy too much sweet concentrated syrupy junk and they blend together to all taste just about the same. The liquor selection is basic and needs refreshed. Perhaps adding all of the different cocktails from the restaurant menus to the main bars menus we be a good start. We enjoyed the variety that they offered. As for nightly entertainment, we really enjoyed this aspect. The shows poolside and such were fabulous and we looked forward to this every evening. Servers and bar staff were friendly and appreciative and management was responsive. Anything we needed, we received. For fellow divi goers, do yourself a favor and book the e-bike tour with snorkeling. Zef and Donnie were seriously the MVP's and the made the adventure one we will never forget. The bike helmets are in need of an update. All in all the resort is nice. Is it 5 star worthy? No. Is it a beautiful location with lots to offer for all walks of life? Yes.

Divi Aruba All Inclusive is behind the times and the resort is tired.

T823FBjeffa on Apr 11, 2024

Think about another option before you stay at the Divi Aruba All Inclusive. Twice this week, we went to take a shower after a day on the beach only to find out that we had no water. No notification from the staff. Also checked in on Saturday only to find out that most restaurants were booked and we couldn't get a reservation. The Ginger (Asian) restaurant was terrible. After 2 hours, our entrees showed up and 3 of the 6 dinners were wrong.

Beautiful Resort

MatthewL882 on Apr 06, 2024

My wife and I came to Aruba our first time for her 40th birthday. This resort was absolutely beautiful. After traveling around quite a bit of Aruba on a tour so, we agreed that we would definitely stay here again. We have enjoyed the buffet every day for lunch and breakfast, the food is a little above average for hotel, but nothing to snub your nose. The multiple bars have been fantastic and very accommodating and easy to access, we’ve had our fair share of Aruba Arriba for sure. We did attempt to eat at one of the restaurants as part of the all inclusive our first night here and with multiple empty tables were told that there was no reservations for another hour and a half or so. it does seem difficult to book a reservation for the restaurants for dinner and that is fairly frustrating for all inclusive. Luckily, each of the other nights we’ve had reservations off resort to enjoy. The le Café by Divi has been wonderful for coffee and croissants in the morning and although busy at times seem to process orders really quickly. None of the multiple pools have been very busy and we’ve always found a place to sit and relax. The beach is unbelievably beautiful, and again we’ve had no problems finding seats or Palapas when needing to enjoy one. The water is warm and clear. There is a short walk to the sister resort in order to get snorkels goggles or visit a gym. But there’s also a golf cart that runs about every 10 minutes to hear from each resort that is easy ride. overall if interested in all inclusive, I would say hands-down, one of my favorites

"Divi All Inclusive Resort: A Tale of Celebration and Frustration - A Review of Our 20th Anniversary Vow Renewal"

Adrienne R on Mar 25, 2024

My experience at the Divi All Inclusive resort for our 20th Anniversary Vow Renewal from February 11-16, 2024, was a mix of highs and lows. We had meticulously planned this event for a year, with 71 guests in attendance, and while there were certainly moments of joy and celebration, there were also significant challenges that detracted from our overall experience. First and foremost, I must commend the onsite staff, who were instrumental in ensuring the smooth check-in process for our guests. The head Manager, Carolina, along with her deputy Kimberly and concierge Shirley, went above and beyond to accommodate our large party. They efficiently distributed the personal gift bags we provided for each guest and were flexible in assisting us with reservations at the on-site restaurants. Their dedication to ensuring our guests were well taken care of was evident throughout our stay. The property itself was well-suited for our event, with a decent size that allowed for both group interaction and individual relaxation. The beach and pools were enjoyable, providing ample opportunities for leisure. However, there were instances where the staff at certain bars seemed less friendly, and service at times appeared strained, particularly at the smaller bar by the villas. Accommodations, while basic, were sufficient for our needs. Daily room cleaning was appreciated, although it seemed necessary given the amount of sand we inevitably tracked in from the beach. Unfortunately, the reservation process marred what should have been a seamless experience. Dealing with Divi corporate proved to be incredibly frustrating, with poor communication and a lack of transparency. Despite bringing a substantial number of guests and generating significant revenue for the resort, I encountered numerous challenges, including unexpected price increases and threats of reservation cancellation. In particular, the discrepancy in room rates and the subsequent demand for additional payment just days before the event was deeply concerning. It felt more like harassment than customer service, and it tarnished what should have been a joyous occasion. Despite attempts to address these issues with Divi Resorts, the responses received were inadequate and failed to provide a satisfactory resolution. In addition to the overall review of my experience at the Divi All Inclusive resort, I must address the ongoing issues I've faced with poor customer service and communication from Divi Resorts since February 2023. Despite my attempts to seek information and clarification regarding my upcoming event, the responses have been notably lacking and have left me feeling frustrated and disheartened. Particularly troubling was a recent communication from Cynthia Powell Gosse, Director of Strategic Development, which not only failed to address my concerns effectively but also included an inappropriate labeling of me as a "problem bride." This characterization was unfair, subjective, and unwarranted, especially considering my genuine efforts to seek clarity and understanding about a substantial financial commitment to Divi Resorts. These ongoing issues significantly detracted from what should have been a memorable and enjoyable experience. In conclusion, while the Divi All Inclusive resort provided a picturesque setting for our 20th Anniversary Vow Renewal, the overall experience was marred by subpar customer service and communication from Divi corporate. For such a significant milestone event, the lack of professionalism and accountability displayed by the resort management was disappointing.

Best.trip. Ever

Danielle B on Mar 22, 2024

This place was the best! Super friendly staff. Perfect soft sandy beach. Busy but not crowded. We never waited more than a few minutes for a drink. Beautiful clean pools. The food was great. Just book your dinner reservations 2-3 days ahead.as they fill up. Buffet was good too as an alternative to dinner reservations. The shuttle was good to get to the included Tamajin next door. Everything was just as nice there. The beach was definitely better at Divi though. The concierge and bellmen were very helpful and friendly too! We will definitely be back!!
