My family and I have timeshare at Renaissance and this was my first time back in many years. I'm impressed with the ambiance and level of service I experienced at the Hotel and I really enjoyed my stay. Even with the Covid situation, the staff made our time there fun, easy going and went above and beyond whatever I asked for. The Bellhops- John and Eduardo were so helpful and funny, Haysem and Janice at the front desk were always there to answer my questions and give me whatever I requested. And I have to shout out in particular Iraida and Jacques at the pool bar, who gave us the BEST drinks and service. Aruba Aribas are my go-to drink nowadays. :) Thanks everyone for a fantastic stay and I can't wait to come back to my dushi Aruba. Ayo for now.

    Saved my friends and I!

We loved this hotel for many reasons: the kind staff, the private island, the food, the pools (and pool bar), and so much more. However, the reason I want to leave this review is because they went out of their way to help my friends and I. We visited in September of 2020, and during this time there was a midnight-5am curfew that is taken very seriously. They will give out hefty fines if you're out past then. My friends and I knew this, and were spending time at another hotel near the ocean and at 11:20 went to the lobby to request a taxi back to the Renaissance. We were informed that all the taxi companies closed in preparation of the curfew, and there was no way to get one home. We called the Renaissance to see if they could send a taxi and the sweet front desk lady felt so bad for us. But she said she couldn't call a taxi, and our best case scenario would be to start walking (we were 5 miles away) and hopefully be stopped by a police officer and--if we weren't fined--get a ride back. The security officer at the other hotel we were at told us our best bet was to sleep outside until 5am when the country reopened. We were devastated, and stranded. We walked outside to prepare to wait, when we hear them tell us that someone from our hotel was here for us. It turns out that the night shift manager who was on his way from his house into work drove his personal car to come get us and take us back. We made it back before curfew, and were so unbelievably grateful to them. The staff at the Renaissance genuinely saved our butts from sleeping outside, and I will forever talk about how kind they were. Aside from that story it's also a fantastic hotel with nice rooms and delicious food! My only complaint was that there wasn't a beach to swim at at the hotel (you have to boat to the private island).

My boyfriend and I recently spent a long weekend in Aruba. Everyone we encountered was super nice and helpful. Eduardo at the front door was helpful and cheerful throughout our weekend. Melanie at the beautiful pool bar went above and beyond to ensure our afternoon was lovely and we knew about what do while at the resort. Carmen and Rachel both suggested wonderful drinks in the evening by the pool and made us feel right at home. The food was great too! We rented a cabana on the private island one day and I highly recommend. Donovan was our server for the day and he was amazing! So friendly and helpful! I can't say enough good things about the cabana and the service! The rooms were pretty nice. Not the nicest but very comfortable and plenty of room for the two of us. I highly recommend staying in the ocean suites because of the proximity to the beach and the gorgeous views. The marina hotel is nice but not the same view or proximity.

I went with my two toddlers and husband and the only thing I can say is that I will return. I loved our mini suite facing the pool. The resort followed all of the Covid guidelines with Aruba Heath Ministry. The staff was nice and professional. Very clean inside and outside the resort. The pool was fun. I loved loved loved the speed boat to the private Island. We enjoyed it twice! My toddlers got to see the flamingos at 9am and we tried taking several pictures. The drinks happy hour was good. Room service was very pricey, but you can go across the street and eat in the restaurants. It's worth staying here.
