    Had an awesome time at this newer resort - rooms, service and staff were great! Best staff were Miguel with the UVC team and Hector in the preferred club bar - tell him what you like and he will create something wonderful!! Preferred pool and area on roof top was awesome.

    Good Hotel Amazing staff

    I will start of saying this is a very nice hotel but the staff is where they really are a step above. All of the staff was very helpful but i would like to recognize a few by name. Benjamin: Benjamin was absolutely the reason our vacation was great and not just good. He would set our group of 25 up a spot on the beach every morning we were there and ask and get anything we needed. He not only made us feel comfortable but also made us feel like friends and not just vacationers. I was absolutely blown away that he actually remembered me from a vacation my wife and i went to at Now Jade in 2018. He even remembered we were from Ohio. He also offered to stop on his way home from work and get something for one of our group they didn't have at the resort. He was truly a great guy. Berenice and Henry: Berenice was the entertainment manager and she made our kids feel like they were the most special kids in Cancun. She was always full of energy and made our family feel like part of her our. Henry was awesome. I think Henry was a favorite of the kids because he made himself part of their group instead of a staff member. He was always playing tag with them or joking around with them. The entertainment staff as a whole was outstanding. Erika: Last but definitely not least is Erika who we called Emma because she looked like a friend from back home. She was our waitress at the beach. She was so sweat and always happy. Even when she wasn't waiting on our section she would check on us to make sure we were doing well. I can not explain the way this staff made us feel during our stay. I have been to Cancun quite a few times but have never had staff like this that made us feel more like a part of their family than vacationers.

    The good, bad, and not so awesome parts

    Here is the good, the bad, and the not so awesome parts of Dreams Vista Cancun Mexico. Our family celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary there. We stayed from April 1st – April 9th. We had 14 family members in 7 different rooms, 2 on the 16th floor (which the rooms were adjoining), 1 on the 15th floor, and another 2 adjoining rooms on the 14th floor. I’ve been to another Dreams in Tulum and a Secrets in Tulum along with other all-inclusive resorts throughout Mexico so I’m not “new” to all-inclusives. I’ll break this up into four categories; People, Weather/Timing, and Food, and Property People – 4 out of 5 stars • The hotel staff was great. Good people, very accommodating, and professional. Due to covid, obviously there were new processes to follow but the staff overall did a good job. At times they were over staffed at the restaurants and unfortunately understaffed at the pool side. No issues with the wait staff so I give them a 4. They didn’t “do” anything spectacular to receive a 5 star. Weather/Timing – 4 out of 5 stars • We had mild to perfect weather. When the sun was shining, it was around 80+ degrees. It did get cloudy at times so it felt a bit cold if you weren’t in the sun. Weather wise, I thought it was great. Timing wise not so good. We thought we’d miss the U.S. spring break people and we did. But we didn’t miss the Mexican Easter holiday. Theirs was from April 1st – April 9th. Food – 3 out of 5 stars • Lots of options which is good. There were three main restaurants, Japanese, Mexican, and Italian. All three are located next to each other. You have to make reservations to eat inside but if you want to eat outside, you don’t need a reservation. Because our group was 14, getting a table outside for 14 didn’t happen. Due to covid, tables needed to be separated even though our group was together. So we had a table of 8 and a table of 6 for most dinners. The food was standard. Not great, but not bad. I’d say just good. Hibachi tables only fit 8 people, so we had to break up our group for that experience. Property 1 out of 5 stars • I expected better from Dreams. The people, the weather, and food was as expected. But the property and location was terrible. I would not recommend this resort unless you were looking for a place to spend the night and to move on. Here is why. • Design o Think of a football field, 100 yards. Now cut it in half but not at the 50 yard line, but in the middle of the end zones. This property is like a skinny rectangle, half the size of a football field. It has 16 floors. The building is on one side and the pool is on the other. • Wind o The wind is a major problem. The wind comes towards the hotel so when you’re walking towards the beach, you’re walking against the wind. Your hair will blow. It’s super windy even on the room side. This wind will cause a problem throughout your stay. • Pool o The pool size is great. We liked it for our kids. It’s about 3-4 feet deep. It’s a long pool.. think football field.. but it’s not very wide. Maybe 15 yards. But our kids loved it because they could touch. The biggest problem is the wind. It was constantly windy and at times our umbrellas would tip over. It makes the stay unfavorable to relax. o The kids water park was great when the sun is shining and when they are open. The kids water park is on the other side of the hotel. And because another tall building is next to it, no sunlight on that side until early afternoon. And the water park was only open a few hours a day. Not worth it. • Beaches o We didn’t go to the beach at all. Again, the wind is coming towards you and it blew sand and just too windy to relax. In addition, the beach area wasn’t very big. The wind also blew seaweed into the shores. The crew tried to rake it and actually they bury it into the sand. So you’ll see dead seaweed in the beach. And the bad seaweed smell is present. I would give this beach a 0 out of 5 stars. If you’re looking for a place to play on the beach, this is not it. We were looking for that and this resort is terrible for that. Clumps of seaweed in the shore and into the water was gross. • Hotel Rooms o The rooms were cool. Very trendy. Keep in mind the hotel is skinny. So the room sizes aren’t super big. The best part of the room was the shower. It’s a ceiling shower so it feels like you’re in a waterfall. o Wind was another issue. If you had your room door open and your patio door open, watch out because things will fly. At night time, you can hear the wind noise coming through the doors and if you want it quiet to sleep, this is not your place. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this location for an all-inclusive resort if you’re looking for relaxation on the beach and pool. It’s too windy and the beach is not satisfactory nor spacious. This is not a typical Dreams resort and was not happy.

    Dreams Vista Cancun is all about service, staff, and the environment. I have stayed here for 5 days and I just can say AWESOME. Every single person that works there answers you with a huge smile even if you don't see it you can feel it, they cared about me every single moment, each detail is unique. They even remember your name. I hardly recommend you to stay here, you will not regret it, even more, you'll be in good hand once you meet the staff: Entertainment (Berenice, Henry, Erik, Jessica), Restaurants (Dana, Catherine, Juan, Arturo, Irving, Oscar), Reception (Sarahi, Josselyne, Luis) and much much more. Food was awesome, they take care of the Covid in terms of safe distance and portions, but that doesn't stop them to have a lot of variety, and I love it. You can't get bored with all the activities that they have, you'll find yoga, volleyball, surfpool, zumba, etc Krystal, Antonio and Eduardo made me feel safe at the Covid testing, to be honest I was scared but they helped me get through it. And the preferred club, worth it a 100%, you can't say that you've had been in Vista if you don't go here, you will regret it, Leslie and Gloria from preferred, the barman Kenny and Adrian, and the pool waiters Fernanda and Jesus, what can I say, they made my stay much better, as Michelle and Maria, the pool concierges. The infinity pool is LIT, what a view now I understand the meaning, but believe me you will have Sea view in each part of the hotel. The Black Margarita is a MUST. See you soon!!

    Very small resort very windy

    We were moved to Dreams Vista because the original Dreams resort we booked closed. Unfortunately, this was not communicated to us. We were very disappointed as the resort is very small. Umbrellas by the pool can’t be open because they have the wrong type of umbrella. The buffet is as big as my walk in closet....super small, not many choices of food. Check in staff very rude. Also, the check in concierge was very rude. We lost our to other luggage and they really could careless... they never followed up with us. I do not recommend this resort.
