We checked in on Wednesday for 4 nights and added 1 more because we did not want to leave. Allison at checkin was very informative and looked like she was having a great day or enjoys her job because of the awesome welcome we were given. The doormen/bellman(tall older gentlemen) always opened the door and asked how everything was. Valet was always very courteous as well. Samantha was excellent in executing all of our requests efficiently. We ran into Karina that said hello and asked how our stay is. She had a bright smile and we chatted about Hyatt and how this property is one of the coolest! Hannah with Excursions booked us on the beach charter and offered suggestions on what to bring and informed us on all the details to be aware of, A+. Emily also gave us great service by the pool. Breakfast buffet switched daily and was yummy! Connie at the 24 hour lobby Market was also very nice. There was a Spanish women with short hair that was always around making sure everything ran smoothly as well. We did see security now and then which is nice to see so everyone behaves. There was a wedding being held which was beautiful and covid awareness is very present here and I sincerely appreciate that from this hotel and Hyatt in General! Thanks again!

The Best Hyatt in the US? I'd Say So.

This was probably our 8th time to visit Coconut Point and we loved every second. The grounds are just beautiful and the staff and food are great (try the Yoyo Burger). We love the boat trip to the private island and the ability to access the pools at the Residence Cub next-door. We come all the way from Dallas because we think this is the best resort that we have visited (and we've been to quite a few). One bit of feedback is to have some activities in the evening for kids. They have a giant turf lawn and could show a movie (socially-distanced of course). Other Hyatts like Grand Cypress, Lost Pines and Hill Country are doing this same thing. Overall, this is a fantastic resort! Book it now and also make sure you call and reserve the free ferry to their private island.

The Pros - The staff was wonderful and was one of the best I had ever experienced. The food was good. The pools and lazy river were a lot of fun even for my teenagers. The Cons - They advertise that they have beach access but what they don't tell you is that there are only a certain amount of trips a day that the ferry takes. If you don't make a reservation in time, you are out of luck. I paid for a beach that I could not use because I could not get on a ferry. Even when the ferry is running at full capacity, I'm sure this would be a problem because the hotel would have a higher capacity. The one trip I tried to make was canceled because of the weather. Understandable as it is Florida but the captain should have put a sign up at the beginning of the boardwalk that she wasn't taking guests for that trip instead of us walking the long walk down to the ferry only to be told it wasn't going. They said they didn't have drinks as the island so we brought a cooler. We find out that there are drinks but they could run out so they tell everyone to bring drinks. They could easily have the ferry bring more drinks over if the island is running out instead of making your guest lug coolers out there. This resort is also part of "resort pass" where they sell passes to non-hotel guests. I don't like paying the high rate to have others come to the hotel. I have been to another hotel that does this and when we don't have the current capacity restrictions, it gets too busy and you can't even find a chair. The food was extremely expensive and the portions were small. I have been to hotels at this level so expected high prices but these were way beyond what should be paid. The rooms are nice but showing wear.

We just got back from this resort today(July 17) and it was absolutely AMAZING. If you have children or don’t have children this is the spot to goto. 5 pools, a lazy river, a ferry to a private island on the gulf of mexcio (we saw dolphins), 4 pools(1 adult pool with jacuzzi), S’mores on the fire pit and so much more. We did not want to leave. The staff was super. They made our stay so comfortable and made sure everything was safe due to COVID. They were spraying each tube for water slide and making sure everything was safe. People wore mask in the hall ways but everyone social distanced the way they should and it was awesome. Our view was fanatic. Note... try to get the higher floors. We were on floor 5 and although it was a good view of everything we believe the higher floors are so much better. Also the water slides close at 5 pm which was kind of a downer with kids because they didn’t want to stop. But the pools are pretty much open all night. We had a great buffet for breakfast at the hotel. If you can, bring drinks with you while sitting at the pool as it gets expensive. We did eat dinner at the restaurant in the resort and it was fabulous But expensive but so what it’s vacation. Lol . Another thing is goto DOCS which is A 10 min drive away. You can eat dinner and watch the amazing sunsets. Once again it was way too short of a vacation and I wish I was back at the resort. We will definitely be back. Thanks for an amazing time.

One night Staycation. What I was shocked to see, was you don’t need to pay for the hotel. They allow locals to bring their own towels and coolers. Watched about 20 families from my balcony come in this morning. I didn’t know you could do that. Went down to the pool, all of them there. The hotel does not hand out wristbands or something to identify your a hotel guest. It’s not hard to tell who is local. Just look at their towel. But they are not asked to leave. So I wasted $400. Could have just got dropped off by Uber or pay $16 parking fee and used the pool Area for free like 50% of the people out there.
