An excellent stay after moving here early from the Laylow Autograph Collection. It’s a booming time here is Waikiki. Especially during the first two weeks of April for all the “kids” spring breakers. Was upgraded without asking to a nice ocean view room. Room is sufficient for what it offers but the views were excellent. All the staff members were nice and Hawaii friendly and covid safety taken seriously by all staff we encountered, and for the most part the guests as well. This property (unlike the Laylow) actually honors elite welcome gift choice of breakfast. Not as great as when they were offering full hot breakfast or when the lounge was open, but enough to get the day started with fresh fruit, pastries, and other snacks. Kudos to the management team adhering to brand standards. The pool was packed when we were here but overall since we were beachfront, it didn’t bother us. Resort fee and parking fee is high but this is a general money grab by all hotels in the area. Will definitely return.

First time on Oahu and I think my stay at the Sheraton Waikiki has spoiled me for all future visits. Perfect location close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Comfortable and recently renovated rooms with bidets on the toilets and a dedicated vanity area separate from the sink. They have two distinct pool areas: the infinity pool is adults only with food and drink service, and the second pool has a water slide that is great for kids. There’s direct beach access, although it’s still the public beach where you’d need to find a spot. Parking is $35 per day, which seems about average for the exorbitant parking rates in Waikiki, and the resort fee is $36 per day also. Housekeeping available everyday felt like such a great step towards normalcy. The lounge for elite members is still closed, but they have complimentary continental breakfast in the Kai restaurant every morning. Same fruit, yogurt, and croissants daily but they change up the proteins and pastries a little bit everyday. The staff at Kai were especially friendly and attentive and deserve a dedicated shout out. I booked a standard city view room but was upgraded to an oceanfront Diamondhead view for being Titanium. The view is AMAZING and would be worth the cost to book outright to look out at paradise everyday. We spent most of our nights with the balcony door open to listen to the ocean as we went to bed, and in the mornings we’d watch sea turtles in the water from the balcony. Overall, I couldn’t have had a better first time Waikiki visit and don’t know how future visits will compare if I don’t stay at the Sheraton Waikiki.

    Nine days in paradise

Spent 9 nights at this property arriving in late March in room with Diamond Head ocean views. You cannot beat the location or the view. Hotel has been recently updated including the guest rooms which were a nice size. Housekeeping was provided every day if requested. Due to COVID, lots of precautions in place and never felt unsafe. Most people were masked up and all staff were very friendly. Bracelets given as keys which were waterproof too. Rules in place at the pool where you book a two hour block every day. Never had an issue getting a two hour block at the adults only infinity pool. They did have service at the pool – drinks and food – that could be ordered and delivered to you. The breakfast spot had just re-opened while we were there. Other option was the Honolulu Coffee shop in the lobby which was often crowded in the morning and thus slow due to the crowds which seemed to grow everyday during our stay – great to see for the Hawaiian economy – but not great when you wanted your Hawaiian latte and banana bread in the AM. You can walk to so many restaurants in the area. Recommend making any reservations in advance since some places are still only take out or else reduced capacity. Also about 100 ABC Stores in a one mile radius for snacks and beverages and souvenirs. One con was the beach access. Your only option for the beach was to take towels and find a spot on the public beach. Wish they offered a beach service like the Royal Hawaiian next door. Was truly a memorable stay in paradise.

My hubby and I chose the Sheraton for its location, infinity pool, remodeled rooms, and the water slide. I am 100% glad we chose it! It’s very centrally located to walk to most restaurants and shops. The infinity pool is even bigger than it appears in pictures, isn’t crowded, and provides a wonderful respite for adults on Waikiki Beach. There are plenty of complimentary lounge chairs for guests. If you want a paid one, be sure to book before you come because they book up in advance! The shops at the hotel are fun. Rumfire’s food and drinks are terribly over-priced, but the poolside delivery and quality of food are worth it. Go for the Deluxe Oceanfront Room; the views of the ocean, Diamond Head, and Waikiki Beach are spectacular! Request a room with a corner lounger on the balcony; it’s so comfy I even fell asleep on it! The customer service is fantastic; I’m recovering from an injury and surgery, and they have gone above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay for me! The elevators are efficient and plentiful. There hasn’t been a wait for anything. Covid is taken seriously in the ways I would want but has not impeded our vacation experience, just the right balance.

After eating at one of their restaurants, all restrooms were closed so we went to the front desk to ask for access. Brain proceeded to tell us that since we weren’t guests of the hotel we couldn’t use the restroom, even though we ate at a restaurant on the property. He called Julio from security and he was extremely rude and unhelpful. Brian then said because they want to keep homeless people out, he can’t open the restroom. How do paying customers or a restaurant on the property get told they can’t use the restroom because of homeless people? Will never come back here and Brian’s rude self needs to be let go
