Bike tour with Grecia

Christy C on Mar 30, 2024

Grecia was such a helpful guide on our bike tour. She took care of all the details, and planned a beautiful tour through a natural protected park with lots of wildlife. The pink flamingos were nesting with their babies - such a beautiful moment to observe. I’m very grateful to Grecia for her kind help and knowledgeable guiding skills.

Wonderful vacation

Departure44343559815 (Oregon) on Mar 23, 2024

Great vacation spot for family or even just couples! We reserved a king size bed oceanfront view and were automatically upgraded to a suite! Anahi, Ernesto and Juan gave us excellent service. Definitely want to return with my kids here. Beachfront resort with spa, pools, and option to have all inclusive meals was excellent. Service was great!

Disappointed

vmwall (Airdrie, Canada) on Feb 24, 2024

Really disappointing, no healthy lunch options, very limited bar options, no comfortable lounge area, pool area staff were great, front desk staff not so friendly got the impression we were imposing. Will not be back and will be messaging WestJet.

KRYSTAL IXTAPA VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

lawrencej950 (Chatham-Kent, Canada) on Feb 12, 2024

Check in was a nightmare. The reception clerks spoke very little English. Yes I know we were in their country but they should have someone on staff who could speak enough English to help with check-in. We stayed at the Krystal 9 yrs ago and what a difference. The hotel now mainly caters to Nationals (Mexicans). Pool side drink service was virtually non existent unless you were a National or a non all-inclusive patron. We were there for 14 days and had waiter service 4 days during our stay. Tipping didn't seem to help get service either. The sports bar no longer exists it was turned into a Mexican restaurant which was nice but there was no where to get drinks at night except out by the pool. They did have a TV by the Starbucks where you could watch the football games. But there was no service. If you wanted Starbucks it was not included but you did get a 50% discount. The buffet was very poor for lunch and supper. As for breakfast it was hit or miss if someone would man the egg station. You would wait in line for up to 15 minutes before someone would come out to cook them, then they would immediately disappear if no one else was in line. You had to ask for bacon which would arrive after you were done eating your meal and was so over cooked that it would shatter into pieces when you bit it. The a la carte restaurants were quite good and you were able to reserve several days in advance. There were 3 of them. Bogarts was probably the best. The pool area was nice with lots of chairs and several palapas on the beach with Adirondack chairs and also a section with loungers and umbrellas. As long as you were up by 7am you could usually reserve a chair where ever you wanted. The hotel is in a great location as there are several restaurants stores and flea market across the road. I would recommend JJ's Blue Shrimp restaurant the food was good and the prices were reasonable. They would exchange $CDN to pesos @ 12.5 pesos to the dollar which was a better rate than the bank. In closing I would not recommend this resort. Spend a few more dollars and stay at a higher end resort.
