The hotel is it an excellent location within walking distance to many amenities and restaurants. The beach outside is beautiful in the restaurant as well as pointed. Within a few minutes you could walk to many different resorts in the number of experiences in book a tractions for anything you want to do on the island. The wait staff was really responsive and helpful and helps me with a couple issues arose during my stay. They were really friendly and never made anything difficult. I would definitely recommend people stay there if you're staying in Maui it was my first trip and I had a wonderful time.
1970's revisited!!

A 1970’s decor; only one plug so if you live in 2020 then it’s not for you. There’s one dresser from Grandma’s place. Remember back in the 70’s when you’d be in the shower and got scalded when someone flushed the toilet? Welcome to the resort! Toilet is great if you’re in kindergarten. Walls are as thin as an Ethiopian marathon runner, so the arguments that we heard all night was nice. The safe wouldn’t work and it took 4 staff to figure it out; then it broke again. Do you enjoy Wifi? Me too; this place offers it in 5 minute intervals - lots of fun!! The tv is from the 90’s and is perched on top of Grandma’s 5’ dresser. Yes, I did call several times to address the issues and each time they did their best to make me feel stupid - it didn’t work. The coffee maker works but they didn’t supply any cups. The housecleaning staff are AWESOME. The beach is AWESOME The view from our room was AWESOME (Premium $) The restaurant is AWESOME The coffee place is AWESOME Overall it's a decent resort, but they need to upgrade the rooms to the 21st century in order to justify the rates.
Good for Budget!

This hotel has one really amazing quality - the location! The beach in front of this hotel is divine and within walking distance to lots of resort restaurants and Whalers Village. I cannot stress enough that this hotel's location is fantastic. The beach isn't too crowded and the pools (in front of Royal Lahaina) are nice too. On the downside, the rooms are pretty old. For example, our room featured mysterious carpet stains, wall damage, and furniture well deserving of retirement. And the mattress was like a slab of rock. But, all the same, we found the room quite livable and the sheets were nice and clean. Internet was a bit sporadic. On a final note, I wanted to enjoy our balcony (which had partial ocean views) but there was a wasp nest. We found the next-door luau to be *really* loud at night, especially since we were relatively early-to-bed thanks to the time change. But if you plan on being out past 9pm, you will hardly notice the luau. Overall, fine hotel - especially on a budget for Maui. While imperfect, the beach in front of the hotel makes this place well worthwhile. It's not 5 star luxury, but it's perfectly good for most easy-going travelers.
his property is right in the middle of all the GOOD and BAD reviews.

I read several hundred reviews ( both good and bad). We had very mixed feelings about staying here after reading some of the reviews and seeing posts, but in the end, we booked our stay here. This property is exactually in the middle of all the GOOD and BAD reviews. The grounds and location of the property- AMAZING, very clean and the beach is within steps of the rooms/building. The building is next to the main hotel. You can all the same amenities that the main resort ( Royal Lahaina ) Id rate it a 4.5 star Room – We had an ocean view room– It is VERY old and VERY basic . You are getting exactually as described and paying for ( needs some paint and updating). The bed was clean and comfortable. The outside lanai was nice to sit on and enjoy the view. The bathroom is small and nothing fancy. Id rate it a 2.5 star Food – The food was basic, we only did (1) breakfast and (1) lunch at the main restaurant . Drinks were good and cost was average . Id rate it a 3 star. Pool- Clean and centrally located . I’d rate this a 4 After said and done, I’d give this a 3 star.If you don’t set yourself up to thinking you are staying at a 5-star hotel and knowing its as basic as it gets – you will be OK with the stay.
