    When I am traveling or on vacation with my family, pretty much everything for me is about them having all they need and want as basically I want them to have the best time. As a parent you’ll have a lot of appreciation for what people does for them, mainly when you have kids. Let me tell you something that happened. My youngest kid - 6 yrs, tried a desert after lunch in the Spirula restaurant called “Confite de Nutella” and he loved it... the day after went back and had the same desert... he just loved it!!! On Friday we followed same routine but unfortunately they didnt have the desert, he had some ice cream and that was fine, but then the Waiters Captain, a nice man called like Edwald or Edward, said that despite they didnt have the desert at that moment, he will commit to have it for dinner... My kid felt slept earlier that night and stayed with her mom at the room, but when I went to have dinner with my other kid, this person remembered his promise and was just waiting to have the desert for my kid... unfortunately I dont have a picture of the face of my kid when he saw in the morning the desert!!!! Priceless and that gesture made us to stay one more night... my kid was looking to say thank you in person in the Spirulla restaurant the next day but restaurant was open until noon and we left before... definitely that is an example of greatness that I wont forget and that definitely will make us return... I dont have enough words for that situation as it was just amazing... that made our vacation to close in an outstanding way. I hope you can identify the person and let him know my family gratitude and as well, I hope you share this with upper management to get broader visibility. If I had a great impression since I knew the hotel continue paying the employees during the time it was closed, I understood that day why the employees are so important for the company, and how are they who make Marriott and FIFCO great companies. My best wishes during these tough times, I really hope you can continue that path and that have a strong recovery to have return being stronger And greater.

    Even when we know right now there are limitations and the services are not at a 100%, we had a great stay. We got a perfect room with a private hot tub in the balcony, it was big with 2 bathrooms, a living room and a wonderful view to the beautiful gardens. Food was great too and the people working there always took care of us, providing recommendations and following up on all of our requests. The small ranchos next to the pool are great, we had a great time there. Karts drivers, Front desk, waiters, bartenders, everyone has a great client service. Also, all of the protocols for hygiene are followed!

    want to express my gratitude and on behalf of my Ramírez Navarro family to all the staff of W COSTA RICA - RESERVA CONCHAL, in our vacations we lived a magical experience from September 18 to 21. We are very satisfied with all the protection protocols from start to finish. On the other hand, the attention in each of the services they received was excellent. I recognize the great effort they have made for this new reopening, and in my own case I have perceived each of those actions they have achieved, and as clients we feel safe. On the other hand, I recognize the excellent and fine attention that we received from the person who welcomed us at the main entrance, followed by the gentlemen who attended us at the convention center to apply the temperature measurement, disinfection and until the arrival of the young woman. who managed the payment for us. I also recognize the work of the people from all the restaurants because I had the pleasure of eating at all of them, as well as the young people from the pool bar who treated my little ones like treasures and that service is worth more than gold. Another excellent experience was from the gentlemen of the transport who pleased us from beginning to end, and I also liked the people at the gym and the special activities with the bicycle tour throughout the reserve and the very special room service. and excellent. I close to congratulate you for the excellent a la carte food system, directed by the digital application and the accompaniment of the waiters with their recommendations, each dish we ate was simply spectacular, with class, quality and we ate how we deserved it. This experience of the a la carte feeding system I rate it a 100. I have people from the hotel without mentioning how all those who are behind the logistics, management, administration, kitchen staff, cleaning and mmmm many more and who we do not see and to all the special thanks for giving us the opportunity to resume the new way in which today we are living. God take care of you all, continue to bless you and go ahead with your projects, I sincerely hope to return soon to W COSTA RICA - RESERVA CONCHAL

    Stayed here at the end of our Tui tour and stay. Absolutely fantastic resort with 5 star service, staff, rooms, food choice and setting is outstanding! We enjoyed the beach club pool and the wildlife around the resort was a treat! Was a dream holiday. The rooms are another level lovely. Cannot find one single fault.....what dream holidays are made of.

    A downgraded experience

    We stayed at this hotel with my family during the second/third week of September. Firstly I would like to say that I don't usually write reviews on TripAdvisor but in this case I felt compelled to do so as the senior management in the hotel does not seem to want to talk to guests. This could be due to the current COVID situation or just the way they operate. The staff at the hotel are outstanding, really wanting to go all out to ensure that you are having a good time and feel safe. They are always available and follow most times (we did have some basic failures that I will go into detail later). On the other hand, the top management is no where to be seen. As a frequent traveller I try to connect with the hotel management at some point towards the end of the trip to thank them and share feedback. In this case it proved very difficult... Asked to see the General Manager and was told the Hotel Manager would come to say hello, which he didn't. The next day at breakfast asked again and was told neither were at the office and that someone else would come to say hello. The fifth day, and last in my stay, when I asked again at breakfast the waiter, realising my frustration simply told me that the General Manager usually doesn't meet guests and that the Hotel Manager was unavailable as he was usually busy in meetings. This seems strange but I must admit that the service staff do a great job at providing the service. The hotel itself enjoys an amazing location set on one of the best beaches in the region and surrounded by incredible gardens and natural landscape which intertwines with the different bungalows the rooms are located in giving it a sense of privacy in spite of the large number of rooms it has. It has numerous restaurants and swimming pools as well as a kids club and spa. All in all all the necessary attributes required for a great hotel. Unfortunately this potential does not translate into reality. Due to COVID the hotel has downscaled their operation in order to cater to reduced occupancy and limit costs which is completely understandable and most hotels are doing so. In this case it just feels like a downgraded experience as services are limited, facilities are closed and service is much slower than you would expect for a Westin Resort. One point that really shocked and worried me was their choice of accommodation for guests. The hotel has bungalows with 4-8 rooms per building and two main towers with approximately 150 rooms. I would have expected that in order to maintain the feeling of luxury and distancing they would have taken advantage of this and spread out their guests in the different modules. Instead everyone is hosted in the same two buildings and share one central pool during the day which becomes crowded and unsafe. Real pity they took this decision as it just downgrades the hotel to the likes of a Four Points of Holiday Inn. Would certainly consider returning to this destination but perhaps at a different hotel or wait until they have all working again.
