Work Trip

C604QNjustinm (Conception Bay South, Canada) on Apr 13, 2024

Very kind staff, and really comfortable room. No complaints. Awesome location. My only comment would be the minibar, I had not touched the fridge, and the front desk staff mentioned that I had removed a beverage. I hate those censored refrigerators, as they are not accurate and it takes away the ability for the guests to use the fridge

Very Good

This was our last stop on a round the world trip before heading to UK after a nightmare time with Air Canada we arrived shattered Check in was good and the room clean and tidy albeit a little compact We were on 14th floor with a good view at the front We used the restaurant one night and we would say good average but staff excellent We returned one day to find a group of people all drinking at the end of the corridor - old enough to know this nouse wasn’t acceptable security dealt with it swiftly The concierge team are excellent and special thanks to Simon who was just what we needed someone who listens and helps

Wonderful hotel

Jean S on Apr 05, 2024

We had a wonderful 7 night stay in March 2024 at Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth hotel in central Montreal. Restaurant, cafes and bars are excellent and staff are beyond compare. Would thoroughly recommend the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth hotel, whatever the reason for your visit to Montreal.

Perfect base for our Montreal visit

R9105VLannet on Mar 30, 2024

I stayed for a week as part of a British Airways flights + hotel package, and from the hotels in BA's list I chose this one for its proximity to the Centre Bell - I was in Montreal to attend the ISU World Figure Skating Championships. I absolutely fell in love with the hotel - honestly, if I had the money I would live there. On arrival I was offered an upgrade to a 19th floor room, it was spectacularly good, spacious, clean, and providing every comfort I needed. The bed was blissfully comfortable. I know the hotel sells its range of bedding online, but I don't think they ship to the UK otherwise I would be ordering pillows. The hotel was pretty much full during our stay but even so it was very quiet - no noise of voices or TVs from neighbouring rooms, and no sound of doors closing. So there was nothing to disturb sleep. The hotel staff were brilliant, fluent in English and French and very patient with me as I endeavoured to improve my French speaking. They seem like a happy team, in whatever area of the hotel they work - reception, housekeeping, and the bars and eating areas. The hotel clearly chooses its staff well. The variety of eating areas was appreciated, so I did breakfast in Artisans where there was always seating available, occasionally used Krema for coffee, tried the bar on the first night and then the restaurant/bar on subsequent nights. My only slight criticism is the lack of vegetarian main courses. I ordered a cheese board for sharing with my sister, who was staying with her husband in another room, and it really wasn't enough for a dinner. At the end of the meal, a waiter told us that the chef would have been willing to prepare something vegetarian for us, but by then it was too late. Perhaps a nice pasta dish in a tangy sauce, or a lentil ragout, just something simple and easy for the kitchen to produce. I can produce a list of suggestions if wanted! The icing on the cake for me and my companions was that many of the athletes and their coaches were also staying at the hotel throughout the competition, so the hotel was buzzing with excitement and we felt as if we were part of the skating world, for a little while. The hotel had 'Montreal 2024' displays everywhere, with the World Championships logo, and it was just perfect. Just one question - can I come back to my lovely room and stay a month? ;-)

Disappointed

Hailey O on Mar 29, 2024

Pretty expensive for what is offered. Old rooms, outdated lobby, expensive food options. Room was old and not clean. The walls of the bathroom had strange residue on them. The elevators were the worst part of the stay - very loud and sounded like a wind tunnel / tornado every time someone was riding on it. Very disturbing and couldn’t sleep at night. However, the hotel was in walking distance to the arena so that was a positive.
