I've never said this about a propery anywhere in the world, But I absolutely hate this resort. the last time someone updated this property "MASH" was still new. The Restaurants (if you want to call them that) or if they're even open) are very limited in selection, overly salty and service that lacks. And how is this an All Inclusive, except for BOTTLED WATER??? I had to spend over $50.00 on water the weekend I was there. If you need an inexpensive raggedy place to stay for Spring Break or any other shady occasion look no further.... Breezes is your place

We just returned from a four night stay &we travel exclusively to all inclusive beach resorts. Check in was easy, they offered us drinks on our arrival. Maybe 10-15 mins from airport. We did not pre-arrange transportation & easily found a taxi for roughly $25. We arrived at 11AM &check in wasn't until 3PM, but they held our luggage for us. They have showers/restroom facilities available right off the lobby so you can change into your swimsuit &head out to the beach. Rooms were clean. We had plenty of towels &our housekeeping services were excellent. In fact, one morning we advised her that she didn't need to clean, just provide fresh towels, but when we came back she had cleaned anyway. We traveled over Valentine's day & they left rose petals & towel hearts on the bed. The AC was fine, the bed was comfortable. Pillows a little flat. There was no balcony &that was a disappointment but the ocean view was still incredible. TV worked great, but we aren't there to spend time in the room anyway. Our room was at the opposite end of the elevators &quiet overall. However, the walls are very thin &we heard every word of our neighbor's conversation. Beware! Only one elevator worked the majority of our stay (of the 3) & since we were on the top floor, we didn't want to use the stairs. The food was good; we only ate at the buffet. One major area for improvement is the bar situation. Only one bar open during the day & it's in the pool area. The line is often long, they serve drinks in tiny 12 oz plastic cups, & if you ask for a pina colada you have to specify "with alcohol." There was no upcharge for liquor, they have Captain & Jack. The strawberry daiquiri is very yummy! Bring your own cup! or buy one in the gift shop for $20. They will fill it & they also have water coolers at the bar. The only water available is in the gift shop or the water coolers. On site activities are fun & easy. The trapeze is much harder than it looks! Compared to Mexico, I would say the staff is not as friendly or hospitable. Very peaceful resort, no kids, beach is lovely and clean. There were plenty of chairs poolside, as well as on the beach. We did not go down at sunrise to claim a chair & had no problem finding one at 10AM. You can't see the sunrise due to the location so don't bother setting an alarm to get up & watch it. They have a jogging circle on site, but I ran in the mornings by myself down the sidewalk. A couple blocks from the hotel is a little park with a paved path. It's about a .5 mile circle and you can view the ocean the whole time you run. Also pretty well shaded. Perfect! I felt safe as a SWF in her 30s. We never left the resort otherwise, but I believe the bus to downtown is only $1.50. Check out process was easy. Check out at 11AM but our flight wasn't until 3PM. They again held our luggage & we hung out on the beach & drank until time to head to the airport. Bellmen will hail a taxi for you &they arrive within minutes. Overall we had no complaints & would come again.

This was the fifth year that a group of us met there for a long weekend. We are remembered by the staff, who is extraordinarily attentive. The place is clean, and well-maintained (although showing some age,) and they have really upped their game with the food of late (every restaurant was top-notch this visit!) Overall, the value is tremendous for being all-inclusive. This year we never left the resort; we ate every meal there and drank all we dared! Little sniggle: much of the day there is only one bar open and the line gets long. They need to open other bars and/or increase staffing. Biggest complaint: the evening entertainer every weekend (Funky D) is offensive to women, gay people, Asians (in particular) and needs to retire. If he thinks his misogynistic routine is okay, he is sorely out of touch with the clientele. We couldn't believe some of the things he said or "sang" about! We complained last year, but he is still there and singing about male anatomy, etc.! But other than that, there is a piano bar with poor acoustics and lighting, but it can still be an alternative to the main area, and a disco that is fun, when the dj connects his music to the audience (which seems to be a challenge sometimes!) But aside from the entertainment, the resort is a fabulous value, an excellent weekend or week long vacation, and a great experience. When one looks down the beach at the nearby (and heavily marketed) Baha Mar, their beach looks like a Tokyo subway platform, it is so crowded. At Breezes there is no crowding, plenty of lounge chairs, security, etc., and no up-charges for drinks or food! Again, we love it!

Though my stay in the Bahamas was good overall, and the workers at Breezes were super helpful and nice; overall this resort was NO GOOD. First, the rooms were super old and dirty. You can tell that housekeeping doesn't do more than clean the sheets and give fresh towels. There was a small stain on my comforter, the corners of the room were grimy, the bathroom mirror had speckled marks all over it, and the TV was ancient and would randomly turn on. On top of that, my friends who also stayed at this resort experienced a flood in their shower and from the vents, and it took multiple calls and badgering to do ANYTHING about it. Management would not move them to a new room, and they were very reluctant to say whether we would get a refund or anything in return since they were UNABLE TO SHOWER. Ultimately, the fix took all of 2 minutes and they just shoved a rubber stopper at the bottom of the shower, which still didn't do anything about the vent leak. Outdoor activities were okay. The beach wasn't that clean compared to others I had seen during my stay, and the pools weren't that clean either. They did offer sailing and kayaking for free and had other activities offered that I didn't really look at, so I can't comment on. Food options were super limited and not that great. I've been to resorts for cheaper that have high quality food that I would recommend to others. But Breezes offered 3 main restaurants plus the buffet, and the majority of the food was 3 stars at best (Garden of Eden was okay). DO NOT GO TO MUNASAN. WORST "ASIAN" FOOD I'VE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE. Everything tasted like it was doused in ginger, the food was either too dry and tough or mushy and unappetizing. Service was slow. I'm still getting nightmares about that food, and we had to eat at the buffet after just to get the tastes out of our mouths. FINALLY, the ignorant racism we experienced which really put a dark cloud over my whole trip. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD THE RESORT REQUEST FOR ME AND MY FRIENDS TO GET "DAILY TEMPERATURE CHECKS" AND NOT EVEN LET US KNOW?!?!?! To be clear, yes, we are all Asian and yes the coronavirus is a big issue right now. HOWEVER, HOW WOULD WE HAVE EVEN GOTTEN INTO YOUR COUNTRY IF WE WERE AT ALL AT RISK OF CATCHING IT???? First of all, none of us have ever even been to China, we're all from straight from New York. We are probably less likely to have caught the virus than a lot of other people at your resort. If you're going to force us to get our temperature checks than you better have done that to every single other guest from the United States staying there. Second of all, why would no one have ever mentioned this to us when we checked in or booked??? We checked in, and not one person mentioned anything about temperature checks/medical exams/the clinic, just smiled as if everything was normal. But clearly, just upon looking at us, they assumed hey let's flag them cuz they're Asian. If we were told this was a thing for them or at any point made aware that they were gonna do this, then I wouldn't have booked with them at all. Instead, both mine and my friends room's were harassed with phone calls, requesting us by name, telling us to come to the clinic so a nurse can give us "our daily temperature checks." Third of all, when my friend and I finally picked up the phone for these calls, not only did the person at the clinic refuse to offer us any information or reason, they made a point to ask us where we're from as if just cuz we're Asian we're straight from China, and they wouldn't let me off the phone after I repeatedly stated that I don't need or want this done, and if you don't have a reason then you can't do anything. ALSO, YOU LOOKED AT OUR PASSPORTS UPON BOOKING WHICH CLEARLY STATES WE'RE FROM NY AND NONE OF US HAVE BEEN TO CHINA.How are you going to spring this temperature check situation on us out of nowhere, basically pressure us to go to the clinic for a forced medical exam, and not even provide any sort of reason or justification for your actions? Did you really think we'd just give in and subject ourselves to medical exams just cuz you said so? We were clearly racially profiled, and it soured my entire trip. I couldn't look at any worker in the resort without feeling judged, or looked down upon. Maybe, some people won't understand this, but for people, especially a vacation resort, to assume that you are diseased or sick just cuz of your ethnicity is seriously not okay, especially when there's ZERO BASIS for this assumption. Overall, like I said, there were a few really nice and genuine workers who were super friendly and great. I wish I could remember their names. But overall, my trip was really ruined by all the things mentioned above.

We have traveled to many islands and stayed at plenty of all inclusive resorts. We are easy low key travelers and our expectations were not high especially after reading the reviews for Breezes Bahamas Resort & Spa. The resort is extremely outdated, with 60/70’s style decor and run down furniture. The rooms AC units were strong and kept the room nice and cool. Unfortunately, the rooms had no balconies, no ceiling fans, no coffee maker, or mini fridge and most importantly - no water available except to purchase from the gift shop at a premium. It is very easy to get dehydrated by baking in the sun, and having alcohol. We were really disappointed by the lack of water available. While the bathrooms have been slightly modernized, the positioning from the faucet to the sink was misaligned, causing water to constantly spill over on the counter. The water accumulation coupled with the lack of an exhaust fan caused mold to grow on the bottom of the sink. Also, when the housekeeping staff cleans the rooms, they replace the used towels with half the initial amount. When returning to our rooms for a shower we only had 3 towels to clean ourselves with. When questioning the housekeeping staff everyday their response is “they ran out of towels” The service was excellent from all staff. The food was actually quite decent, not sure why all the negative reviews. There was plenty to choose from and the Bahamian Chicken & Rice was outstanding. We were also satisfied by all the restaurants except for Martino’s the italian restaurant. We would recommend avoiding this one at all costs. The Garden of Eden was very romantic and the food was also great. This vacation provided us the relaxation we needed.
