A wonderful place, everything was excellent! I can’t think of anything about Couples Negril that I would change. I know that we will be going back again ! It offers quite a lot but still has an almost private feeling, not over crowded we never had to wait for anything , Just a perfect place to spend a week.

Anyone who knows us, knows how much we love this place but....... First of all the very good Staff are wonderful, cannot do enough for you New GM Ms Cousins is excellent and very available. House Keeping, just cannot fault. Food, plentiful and good choice. The not so good Entertainment in my opinion was not up to par. New Years eve was not Jamaican in any sense of the word. It was simply music playing on a stage, almost no reggae at all but plenty of 70s disco, the music you can hear in any town anywhere anytime. 2 or 3 nights a week a beach entertainer in the piano bar and main stage, 2 nights a week Silver birds (who are wonderful) but why 2 nights a week? Every morning at 10 am same beach entertainer whisting the same tunes, way too much. Where are the reggae bands that used to play here, the solo singers with wonderful voices who sang reggae 2/3 nights a week? Where are the Jamaican folk dancers who told a story with their dancing? This resort in my opinion has lost it's Jamaican identity and has become just a lovely hotel on a beautiful beach, no Jamaican vibe at all. The management did put on a reggae band for us one afternoon and it was wonderful and so well received, many people were asking why we did not have this kind of music in the evenings? After paying top dollar to be here over Christmas and New Year, we spent more money going down to 7 mile beach to listen to some real reggae music by amazing local talent. I did not come to Jamaica to hear Sweet Caroline, Rolling on a River and Girls just wanna have fun. Still love you CN but think we need to move on....... sad but true. Jamaica IS reggae not disco and not Country.

This was our 2nd visit to CSA Negril and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Our room was clean and comfortable, complimentary minibar products were provided and refilled daily. Food selection was great, and all was of excellent quality and taste. We were lucky enough to be there on New Year's eve. The cocktail party included a very impressive display of exotic appetizers and the wine flowed freely in a beautifully decorated room. Entertainment at the cocktail party was a very talented local band that played and danced to a wide variety of songs. The New Year's eve meal was plentiful (surf n turf), tasty and served in a most professional manner. Entertainment was a male singer with a wonderful voice who sang a wide variety of songs. The New Year's eve beach party was great fun and went long into the night and early morning. We truly enjoy snorkeling at this resort. The water sports staff and ships crew are some of the nicest people we have met in Jamaica. They truly work hard to ensure all customers are safe and have the opportunity to enjoy themselves. I should note that my wife and I both can think of things that we could complain about but we advised staff of those things when we experienced them and staff remedied each concern quickly and efficiently. We had a wonderful vacation and will return again in the future.

    Good property, not great.

Like many of the other readers on here, I'm also not a fan of all-inclusive resorts as typically the food is lacking in quality as compared to eating at the local establishments. Couples Negril holds true to that perspective. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice property and the food is decent but it's not luxurious nor gourmet. For some people this may be one of the nicest places they have ever stayed so it really depends on your exposure. There were a lot of repeat visitors on our trip and they seem to have a good following. Probably the best part of this hotel is the pool and hotel grounds. Also, the staff was really friendly and accommodating. The beach is nice but not amazing. I'll get to the nude beach later. There is a lot of cocktail selections and maybe too many. SUGGESTION: If they could simplify, classify, and condense the cocktail menu would be good. The local live shows were good and good to see local artists performing. The rooms were nothing spectacular and served it's purpose. The property seemed to be insect free as well. The food was decent and didn't have anything bad, just didn't have anything good. IMO, the jerk chicken was probably the best item they served. Now for the nude beach. First off, folks don't let is scare you away because it really is such a small part of the hotel. I'm a nudist and have been to many nude beaches around the world and found this one to be the most awkward for nudist. This area is set back a little from the beach and they've tried to isolate with bushes and I suppose it's fine when laying there. However, walking to the water in the buff, on either side of you there are family resorts and you do really stand out like a sore thumb. I decided to skip it as it seemed a little too awkward. Also, I got the impression there was some swinging going on as we had a few couples hitting on us. No judging, just not our thing. Would we stay again, probably not for us but like I said, there were a lot of repeat customers enjoying the property. To my original point, it's good...just not great.
