We were prepared to be a little disappointed after we got to our room and didn't see some of the amenities we thought we had booked for, but this was quickly turned around by an extremely professional yet approachable staff. We were there for four days and worked with Gil, Josh, and Nina and all of them were excellent. So many others that I would love to call out but unfortunately I never got their names. The gentleman who checked us in was incredible even though we had gotten there incredibly late. This is the type of service I appreciate and will come back for again and again.

Our Window View Was Construction and Noisy

We checked in on 1/14 at 300pm ish, it was very quiet during check in. Once in our room we immediately noticed the block love ng construction going on outside the window and hideous view. No beautiful NYC skyline view as depicted in the photos online. So I immediately called the front desk. I was told all the double are facing the construction, sorry. So I then asked how about a queen or king? Again I was told these were all facing construction. I hung up and called again and asked if we paid for an upgrade could we be moved, as I can hear nothing but construction going on along with the ugly view. The young lady stated no matter where she place is we would still have this view. Which made no sense considering the building has four sides. There was nothing noting construction directly out front causing noise at the crack of dawn, nor the hideous site. We could have stayed any where. And for staff to not be flexible at all is not acceptable. And I would think as Marriot Nonvoy members they would at least try to find a happy medium. Attached is the construction that started at the crack of damn and didn't end until dark.

My wife and I stayed there for the holidays we had a wonderful time. Our room was very tidy, and the supervisor came in to check also. The view of the city was magnificent at night. The staff are all amazing but there is one I would like to elaborate on for a min because she brought tears to my eyes. *thecla*I saw her walking in the hallway and ask if I could get some tea for my wife she is not feeling good. With her beautiful smile she said ok and told me she would be right back. A few mins later that young lady came back with a hot cup of lemon tea, some honey, sugar and an apple. I thanked her gave her $5 which she refused. I ask what’s your name she showed me her name tag is said Thecla, I ask are you not allowed to accept tips here. Her response was just great ?? she said my job is to ensure all my guest are comfortable and happy I’m already getting paid. The next day a knock on the door it was the young lady checking up on us. TO HAVE WONDERFUL PEOPLE LIKE THAT WORKING I WOULD TRULY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THECLA. *thank you* See you soon!!

We had a one night stay at this hotel and found the accommodation and service top notch. The facility is very clean the room was an upgrade to a high floor room with 2 king beds so large for a NYC hotel room. It was a handi room but we loved all of the space. The breakfast included in the rate was standard fare for this Marriott brand. The addition of the meatless “sausage” was a nice touch. Location was behindMadison Square Garden and across from Penn Station. Overall this was a place we would choose again in the future

The staff are friendly and Andrew the concierge is knowledgeable. Bed was big and comfy and we had a quiet room on 12th floor. Perfect position for sight seeing - right next to Madison square and just along from Times Square etc. Breakfast is simple but plentiful.
