Hard Rock at Universal provided an amazing experience through and through. Cherick, Nan, and Hoa were especially awesome at Rock Royalty Club. Poolside service and the music were exceptional. And of course the park was fun as always. Our experience was enhanced due to smaller crowds.

We stayed here 3 nights in March and upon arrival, our room was not ready. I asked how long it would take because it was already close to 3 and check-in was at 4. The front desk person seemed annoyed with the questions and could not give me a timeframe when our room would be ready. Nothing was really explained about where to find things around this resort and we were tired and hungry from our travels. Just as we were about to board the boat to go to the parks our room was ready. This lady put us in the 2nd to last room on the floor. We had to walk down 3 corridors to get to our room. I am sure she did that on purpose since she had an attitude when I checked in. For me, staying here was a big deal. The rooms are really expensive and I didn't appreciate being treated like I was being looked down upon. 2020 and covid caused a lot of stress for our family. I was hoping to be greeted with a smile. Some of the pros of the hotel are the snack shop in the basement had good food was quick and they were really nice. The express passes were a good perk and the room itself was ok. The beds were comfortable and a decent size. The pool was nice and chairs were available.I can say that everyone we encountered working on the hotel grounds was very nice (with the exception of the person who checked me in). I would recommend this hotel as it is very close to the parks and that boat ride to and from the parks is very nice too. The only real con was that rude lady at check in who gave me the worst room in the hotel. It was just too far to walk to get to our room after wolking all day at the parks.

Best part of stay was Club level staff who ensured positive experience...especially Hoa and Nan. Grateful for their effort to make stay welcoming. Rooms appeared dated, and had issues with handling problems because Hard Rock said not their fault, Universal said not theirs either because booked package thru AAA....and was told AAA was not current on rules and fine print. So disappointed in guest relations....

Stayed here during the height of COVID. Hotel was kept impeccably clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Pool was just the thing after a long day in the parks, but sadly (and understandably) hot tubs were not open. Enjoyed the Blue Cheese Chips at the pool bar, so delicious! On-site restaurants were wonderful. Will definitely book here again!

People will forget what you said but they’ll remember how you made them feel. Jonathan at The Kitchen at the Hard Rock Hotel made us feel welcomed and joyful after a difficult and stressful 13 months away. Our last restaurant meal was at The Kitchen in March 2020 with a server named Jonathan. We had the Kitchen Sink dessert. About 13 months later and for our first meal at a restaurant again, we chose The Kitchen. We requested Jonathan and we were so happy to find out he was working that night!! He also ensured our food was prompt and that we were tended to. He even was proactive when he overheard us saying we needed to order another round; he went ahead and sprung to action. The onion soup was chef’s kiss good. The burger hearty with crispy bacon and the fries were on point. And what can we say about the Kitchen Sink dessert? Everything we’d dreamed of the past year plus. The Kitchen is a special place. Jonathan makes it even more so. We were so excited to get back to the real world and starting at the same place we left off with Jonathan was so fitting. Jonathan made it a special night. We shared stories of the past year and he was an engaged and active listener and participant. Together we enjoyed what makes life worth living: relationships and connections with others.
