This trip didn't start off great. I did the online check-in on the app, but never got a notification that the room was ready. Not terrible as I was staying the day in the park, but the communication wasn't great. Mid-afternoon I called and was told that room the should be ready soon. An hour or so later I called again, this time the person said that the online check-in didn't complete and I had to go visit the front desk! Thankfully when I got back in the evening from the parks, there wasn't a long line at check in. Once they swiped my credit card at check in (which I had already put in online), I started getting messages telling me that my room was ready! Weird. I had a room on the top (4th) floor of the 70s section. Walking out of the room you're greeted by the rooms across from you with a big "Have a nice day" across the top, you can see water in the distance and Art of Animation. I LOVE the renovated rooms and hope that the rest of the value resorts follow the same plan. Everything seemed to be thoughtfully planned and laid out. Double beds were upgraded to queen. There's now a fold away murphy bed that turns into a table when not in use. Very cool. When the bed is down, the entrance of the room was a bit cramped, but when you raised it, you had good space. Lots of outlets and USB charging locations. The bathroom was great. The new shower was nice. The sink area was great with ample storage, great lighting, a night light (yay!) The bed was comfortable. Even though the room was a little farther away, walking to the main building where the food and buses are was quick. The foodcourt can be pretty busy, but if you're just getting an iced coffee, there's a separate line for a few quick items and you don't have to brave the large section which can get crazy in the morning. Shuttle service was regular and efficient. Being an adult, I loved the themeing of the resort - lots of cool nostalgic reminders throughout. It's fun to just wander the resort. I'm annoyed that Disney now charges you to park at the resorts. I know others do it, doesn't mean you have to! Staying on property is already a premium, don't start charging us for everything separately, please! My other gripe about the place is that there isn't great soundproofing in the room. I could hear my neighbors talking or TV. I suggest bringing earplugs to have on hand. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and I think this will be my default when looking for a value resort.

Love this resort. It is a great value for the money and the rooms are great since they redid them. Buses run quick here or at At of Animation across the bridge is just a 5 minute walk. Will stay here again.

Love the Pop Century, 1 negative kept me from giving a 5

I stayed at The Pop from August 31- September 6. This was the 13 time staying there out of the 21 trips to WDW. Castmembers are always up to snuff, friendly, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond. Tammy, Alan, Barbara and “Z”, in the gift shop are always welcoming and asking how I’m doing and how I’ve been since the last visit. Offering up new things and tips about what’s happening in the parks as well as at the Pop Century. 3rd time there since all the rooms have been renovated. Well appointed and plenty of space as a solo traveler and not needing the Murphy bed. My only negative is the food court. Not many years ago, the food court was very good. Plenty of choices, reasonable prices, and great portion sizes, enough to share between two people and both be full. Lately, I’d say over the past 2 years or so, the selections have dwindled, and the quality has gone down. That on top of the prices have gone up. I can put up with increased prices, but when the portions, selection, and quality have all gone down, its really disappointing. I would be embarrassed, giving how good the food court was, just a few short years ago. I found myself eating more elsewhere. The biggest kicker was that I ate ar the quick service restaurant at the Polynesian resort, Captain Cook’s, 3 times while I was there. The food is far better, and less expensive. Still a good trip to the Pop, and will not hesitate to stay again, I just hope they step it back up in the food court.

We had 2 rooms, I requested them to be connected we are a family of 6, mom and dad, 3 teenagers and a 4 year old, space was fine for us. We spent most of the time at the parks, fridge was convenient for water and drinks, didn’t used the microwave or coffee machine, everything was clean when we arrived, mousekeper skipped our rooms the first day, I don’t know why, but the second day I called for our rooms to be served, (it was almost noon not served yet and I wanted our trash cans empty and fresh towels for our teenagers) That night when we arrived at night our rooms were clean and tidy, the issue we had was there wasn’t any hot water, imagine all of us sweaty ( August temperatures, walking all day around the parks etc) and tired, a cranky 4 year old who wanted to go to sleep, but couldn’t because she wanted to shower first, so I call the front desk, they told me someone would come to check, then like 15 min later, I got a call which they told me they would check the boiler and would call me back, I called back 35 minutes later, still not hot water, they told me again I would get a call, so after a while I just check again the shower, the water was getting hot, they never called me back, but I was content I got hot water after almost two hours of waiting, I wasn’t expecting this from Disney, I’ve been twice before this time at Disney resorts and never had a mousekeeper skip my room or running out of hot water, maybe Disney it’s running out of magic. Hotel it’s really noisy we could hear people from the room next to us and above us, people walking at 6:50am outside with their luggage leaving and next day someone arriving late, so if you plan to sleep late this hotel it’s not for you. Breakfast and lunch it’s served it’s cafeteria style,we didn’t had breakfast but we did had lunch twice, which has the classic pizza, cheeseburgers pasta, small salad as a side many pastries, I personally found the Alfredo pasta bland, and the meat from the cheeseburger bad, pizza was good my teens loved the pizza as well and my kids liked the mac and cheese, they change the many every day. Check out was slow, but that was due to many people checking in.

Clean, safe and fun resort. Our room was modern with nice bathroom. Love coming here. My only complaint was with my magic band. Every year I have them shipped to my Post Office ( PO Box) because I don’t want packages at my door steps when not home. This year Disney could not mail it there. Don’t know why they changed how they mail out. I had bands mailed to the PO for years and for me it worked out great. We picked up the bands at front desk with no problems. The next day one band stopped working and I could not get into the room. The friendly people at customer service took care of it . I had to get a new band. Not a big deal but test your band before leaving you room or you may get locked out.
