Spring Break April 1-5

Stephanie B on Apr 05, 2024

This was our first trip to Palm Desert and we researched hotels and decided on Omni based on recommendations from friends. Here are our takeaways. This is from the week of April 1 (we stayed 4 nights) -Staff was the highlight for us across the board. Great friendly service. - For $700 per night the rooms are dated and dark. I hate shower curtains and didn’t expect them in a room at this price point. They are large though. - housekeeping never changed our sheets the entire week and the cleaning was below average. -every morning you need to get in line to wait for the pool to open at least 30min before it opens at 9am. If you show up at 9:05am you’re out of luck for the day. No seats available at any pool. -the arcade is AWFUL. It’s nice inside but there is nothing to play, there are no prizes because no one restocks anything and half the games were broken and the poor kids got their money eaten up and no one available to help refund. Even Staff told us to ditch their arcade and go down the street to Dave and Busters. -there is absolutely NOTHING to do for kids onsite except the pool and arcade. We won’t be back to this hotel. We will try something else next time. It wasn’t awful just didn’t meat expectations for $700 per night. Maybe if it was $350.

Overpriced Rooms have paper thin walls

Peterson H on Mar 24, 2024

I’ll start with the positives , the property is very well maintained, the Blu Ember restaurant is great . The staff is very friendly. But… the rooms are way overpriced for an old hotel. The killer is the sound quality , you can hear everything your neighboring room has going on . We could hear talking , whispering and the constant whining and crying of kids. For that reason , I’ll NEVEr stay again.
