Arizona Biltmore tour is not to be missed!
MaryClem (Durham, North Carolina) on Mar 16, 2024
Whether you stay here or not, touring this beautiful building is not to be missed! The architecture is amazing and the stories, the personnel, the beauty are something to behold. Frank Lloyd Wright fans, it’s a must see! After the tour, have a drink in the outside bar, it’s terrific, delicious, and fun!
Solid property, ease up on the upsells

I was here for a conference and had a good stay overall. The good - beautiful property, great food, comfortable room. The less good - at check-in, I was given a very noisy room above the main lobby. When I asked for a quieter room, they tried to upsell me multiple times (at a discounted $250 per night due to Diamond status) before moving me to a golf villa on the far side of the property. The new room was a little dated and quite far from the conference, but definitely quiet. So ultimately fine. Appreciate that the hotel was quite full from the conference, but the attempted upsell(s) were unpleasant and not handled very well.
A TOUR WITH HISTORY - 95 YEARS WORTH!
CushyCouple (Freeport, Florida) on Mar 10, 2024
This 95-Year History Tour was EXCELLENT! Ashley was our Guide and he shared everything naughty (A Speakeasy) & nice (Frank Lloyd Wright's designs)! Why is there a Spotlight on the tower's roof? Ashley will tell you - along with EXTRA uses of the Spotlight! Why are the ceilings so low? Ashley will share Frank's reasons when a hotel is built in the middle of the desert in Arizona -- WITHOUT air-conditioning 95 years ago! What's the big deal about a square versus a rectangle? Ashley will explain -- and you'll laugh! Talk about walls with a "breeze"! Ashley gives a very clear explanation -- and he shows you a REAL SPEAKEASY -- Ingenious! Ya Gotta See It For Yourself!
Loved walking around the grounds exploring.

Very nice hotel. Loved walking around the grounds exploring. Found a hallway near main lobby with old photo's of the place. Interesting history. Outdoor main bar was very cool. Internet & wifi good. Was able to stream without issue. Comfy bed and fridge in the room.
The scent in the lobby Smells great!

This was an anniversary getaway. First time without kids for a very long time. What a place to go. Our visit was only supposed to be a few days but we extended it to 5 nights. We were upgraded to a corner room in the Ocatilla wing. The balcony on our first floor had a sitting area with a propane fire pit. The pool was relatively quiet most of the time. The grounds on this hotel/resort were manicured to perfection. Hard to believe this place opened in the 1920’s. So much history to be aware of. They offer a historical tour we unfortunately were not able to sign up for. As many others have brought out things can be a little pricey but for us it was well worth it. They spare no expense to provide quality throughout their place. To employ this many people is going to cost and they seem to find the right employees as everyone was friendly and good at keeping things clean. Jordan who was in charge followed up to see how everything was going when we there and was very helpful and courteous. When we checked in a young man named Aaron who patiently took the time to get everything correct with our reservation is worth mentioning as he was very kind especially with the pressure of so many checking in to this place. The athletic mansion is worth walking up to at the top of the hill. Also Boris was the valet and was our bellman. Very informative fellow. They allow one hour use of their bikes which we used once to ride along the canal. That is relaxing. The smell of the lobby is nice as it’s a smell called the desert gem. Kind of an essential perfume called palo santo I think. Anyway very nice memorable scent. One thing to do is the hike at camelback mountain. The echo canyon trail takes roughly 2-3 hours to hike total up and down with beautiful views at the top. And the drive to get there is under 10 minutes. Although parking can be difficult with a small parking lot.
