Terrible stay
Megan B on Mar 13, 2024
This stay was a mess from the moment I arrived. I was given a room that was already occupied. Walked all the way over to the other side of the resort to open the door and see people in there. Embarrassing on both parts. This was after the front desk woman told me someone was going to make sure the room was all good but I could head over there anyway. I after that, I was helped by a different woman who was apologetic but put me in a handicapped accessible room which I did not request. The room smelled so bad. Damp, dark and like mildew. Is that wasn’t bad enough, every time I showered, there was a flood on the bathroom floor because of the handicapped accessible shower which I did not request. The hotel goes out of their way to text you and ask how your stay is going. When I respond and them I am displeased with the room, I do not get a response. I even went to the front desk Monday morning before I left for work and the man just rushed me a way and said come back later and talk to his manager. I’m trying so hard to stay loyal to Hilton as my work travel is ramping up again but this is the second bad experience in a row. I’ll be switching back to Marriott if Hilton isn’t going to make right by this. In summary, the hotel needs a major refresh. The breakfast was ok for being included. The only reason I’d even justify the one star.
Fun Amenities, Dank, Smelly Room

We enjoyed the pool, the breakfasts, and the warm weather. My complaint, and the reason for this 2 star review, is that the room was musty. It smelled of mildew/wet/dampness and was so unpleasant. It was impossible to air out and I got the impression it’s a room that doesn’t get used often as they said at reception that the main building was full, so we were in a unit further from the lobby. (East bldg, main floor).
