Had a great time at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro with our two young adult children. Food was excellent. We had no trouble finding chairs at the pool or the beach. Very little seaweed on the beach during our visit and the water was nice. Outstanding customer service all around. I’ve never stayed at an all inclusive before and was worried I’d be bouncing off the walls. That wasn’t the case. My wife and I took dancing lessons, we used the gym (magnificent ocean views) and enjoyed the entertainment. I wasn’t expecting fire dancers and fire breathers! We had three fulls days and two half (travel) days which was the right length for us. Other than a couple of walks along Bavaro Beach, we never left the resort. I would definitely be up for staying at another Iberostar. The guests at this one are on the older side which worked well for us. We weren’t looking for a wild Spring Break scene. Our kids did go to the disco at the sister resort next store which offered a more stereotypical Spring Break party scene. We wanted a quieter, more international vibe. We tipped by choice but not consistently. Tipping is not the norm in Spain and you’ll get excellent customer service regardless. Beach is clean and felt very safe. There are vendors but they don’t harass you and there aren’t many. I don’t see a point in paying for an excursion when you’re already in paradise.
Iberostar management, you need to pay attention to these issues.

This is the 18th time to the Dominican, here is the Cons of this property.... I am on vacation and I don't need to go down to get a position at the pool at 6:15 am. That is ridiculous!!!!! People reserve their cabana's and then they take the lounge chairs and put them next to their cabana so they can lay out instead of under. The first thing you need to do is when you have lounge chairs (which you have enough room to put a lot more around the pool) you need to add umbrella's next to every pair because there is no way anyone can lay out in the sun with no umbrella in Punta Cana from noon to 3:00pm because of the heat of the day. Maybe you should start charging for the cabana's and people will not be so brash in renting them. Simply put more lounge chairs out with umbrella's by the pool. #2. Twice and only twice that we used Room Service for breakfast, the food couldn't of been any colder, Not Acceptable. The last Con is that you have 2 computer's around the corner of the front desk, both in Spanish. Went to the front desk and they came over to try and switch them to English and could not get it done. Biggest percentage of your customers are Americans. Get one of those computers in English. We couldn't print our boarding passes. Now the Pros, which are 90% good. The grounds, the food, the employees, there is not one other thing that does not add up to a 5 star except for the ones I just noted above. 3 employees that stand out up and above was our butler, Cofe!! The greeter at the Casa Playa, Tory!!! and also in the buffet Ben and Jauela. They were all 6 star!!! Also, we apologize we did not get her name but she cooks the eggs in the buffet and she was above and beyond awesome... All I am telling management is 2 of those 3 are very fixable in the cons and if the one is not fixed I will not be back. I am not in the 40 yard dash for a chair. I am on vacation and not in a race or chairs. Thank you!! Gary and Karen Spino. March 5th thru the 13th,
