    My husband and I stayed at Impressive the week of October 6-11. The weather was amazing and it never rained. The beach did not have much seaweed and the hotel had a few guys picking up what seaweed did come on the beach. We paid for premium and when we checked in they upgraded us to a pool view room. The hotel was not busy at all. We checked in on Sunday and checked out on Friday so we didn’t have the locals like others have mentioned in their reviews. The room was one of the largest we have had and we had no complaints. If you book premium you also have a butler to help you with anything you need as well as someone who makes Restaurant reservations. The butler we had was Danny and he made our experience great. He is a hard working and kind guy. He made our stay at the hotel! We heard that the Japanese restaurant was not going to open during our stay. He talked to the food service chef and got them to have sushi and habichi in the buffet for one of the nights. To me that is going above and beyond! Aldin was great at the coffee shop. She made the coffee just how we liked it. The food was pretty good. We found the buffet to be a better food option. The A la carte restaurants were not that good. We did the Italian and French. The premium lounge also had food too. It was good but pretty much the same stuff everyday. We recommend getting omelettes at the breakfast. If you want to go and have no one at the hotel you should go the beginning of October. The hotel was very low occupied and maybe it was at 20%. You felt Iike you had the hotel to yourselves. One day I counted 11 people at the adult pool laying out. The beach was great and you do have shade starting around 2pm. The pools also had shade around that time too. I know some reviews complained about not having shade. All in all we had a great stay. We were a little nervous to go to Punta Cana with all the bad news but our fears were gone on the first day. You could tell tourism is down as far as Americans. I think we were the only Americans there during our stay. The only warning I have is stay away from the “Royal Secrets” reps. They are time share reps and they do not leave you alone. We had to be rude for them to leave us alone. I also have one suggestion to the hotel. It would be great to have a menu out at the main buffet for what was going to be offered that night for dinner. They have one main big thing that is different every night. Besides the Japanese’s they had this huge Paella one night. My husband loves it and we went to the Italian restaurant that night. You will not go wrong with this hotel. It was a great vacation. Enjoy.

    My Husband and I have just returned from a 10 day trip to thos resort and our first time in the Dominican Republic and I can honestly say it was our best holiday ever. We were a bit sceptical at first seeing some of the previous reviews but we needn't have worried it was amazing. We did upgrade to the Premium package which was well worth it, we had 2 balconies, a jacuzzi on one of them, breakfast and meals in our room if we wanted them, an ocean view and cleaning daily. We were on the beach at 7.30 most mornings and it was 30 degrees plus, we had a private beach, clean towels for the beach everday and a choice of restaurants, the Japanese being one of our favourites. The staff were amazing, helpful and friendly and the following people really made our holiday special, Dalton, the Supervisor in the restaurant's, he was always happy and eager to please. Esperanza and Yeimi who were 2 of the waitresses in the buffet who were always full of smiles and ready with my tea,Frank in reception who sorted out any niggles we may have had and was very efficient and helpful and Juan Estrella, a lovely guy who made us feel most welcome. A thank you to Javier and Hunter in the Royal Club who couldn't do enough for us and made our holiday extra special. All of you guys were awesome and we cant wait to go back. We loved it the resort was very clean, wonderful location and we were very sorry to leave. Thanks again Tracey and Tic

    I have many complaints about our stay using the Premium service at Impressive Resort. First, the constant pressure and trickery to attend the time share got us and we lost 2 hours of our vacation! The room cleaners do not clean much and towels are never replenished, nor is the shower get and shampoo. Seems like you have to ask for everything. I was tipping very generously, in fact our room tips was over 50$ US for the week. The a la carte service is terrible. They forget our orders, missed what we ordered and getting a drink is very difficult. Friday evening we were told the dinner buffet was closed, no warning whatsoever. So they tell us to go to any a la carte, but when we show up they won't take us without a reservation. It's ridiculous. There were only a few days of sun, rest was rain. So imagine this, the hotel is filming some sort of promotional video during the sunny period. So they ban us from attending the beach and kicked us out one pool, we went to another and they came there to kick us out of there as well asking us to go back to the other pool. Back and forth, during my time that I paid to be there. The staff working the video are RUDE and made us feel unsafe with pushing us around. I've never seen anything like this. Lastly, let's talk about the locals taking over. I have nothing against anyone but this place gets insane on the weekends. We paid premium and got treated like it didn't matter. Non premium paying guests are using the same facility. Security at the premium pool was too scared to ask the locals to leave. This is the management's fault. There was no order, completely out of control. We travel 2-3 times a year and have never been treated this badly by any resort we attend. This is completely unacceptable. For the price you pay go elsewhere! Stop asking me for more information about my stay and not responding! Doesn't matter where and who i write to, the common response is "we'd like to know more about your stay" I write back and they don't respond.

    Honeymoon in Impressive Resorts and Spas.

    It is our honeymoon, we arrive to the hotel and met our adviser Adrian, he found the best room for us and yes it was ocean view. He helped us with restaurants and others questions. Very nice and professional guy. I recommend Adrian and Impressive Resorts and Spas.

    The people who payed a lot of money for premium services have to wait 1 hour in line to get a slice of pizza because they let dominicans enter with daypass and they are like gipsies....they dont wait in line. Its a horrible experience.....not close to premium. For the weekend its full of dominicans and you cant imagine what is like to wait in line for a beer or stay in the sweeming pool. Low cost experience for a lot of money.
