Fix the beach and we’ll be back!

Great food, drinks and service! We had Valentin and Plutarco as butlers and they were awesome! Couple things: beach butlers will tell you that you can only hold chairs for an hour. Not true, no one enforces so get up early and mark your territory. Beach is very small and over run with sargasm weeds. So much they stopped removing it half way through our trip. Other resorts nearby have solutions, Azul Beach needs to get on this!
Amazing staff!!!

Got home last night and I wanted to post especially about a couple employees that were amazing to us at our stay from March 14th to 21st, for starters every breakfast Carlos in the spoon restaurant, welcome does every morning you are drink orders didn't even have to tell him twice fantastic person and server thank you so much for making our stay so much enjoyable. For the adult poolside we love you Blanca!!!! She would tell me about great drinks to try she was so lovely and kind. Also Carlos from pool Butler service great person always helped us find beds I burned really bad got me aloe super went out of his way, same with Alexia from prestige services, she noticed I burned really bad and she brought me some chocolate mint soap from the spa to help out the consideration that the staff to make our stay the next level was phenomenal!!! The only con was zavov, they forgot we were there, lol no refills on water, it seemed like the kitchen was having a rough night people were walking up and leaving. The food was great at this resort overall.
Great for Resort Stay and Family Friendly

I was at Azul Beach 2/27 to 3/5 Before I talk about the facility or aesthetics I MUST talk about the staff. The staff at Azul is the most hard working, kind, truly humble people, I just found myself saying thank you over and over. They work SO HARD ! From the people at 7am with goggles cleaning the pools, to the person Windexing alllll the glass barrier panels to the beach, to the cleaning ladies at 3am cleaning the buffet/cafeteria. This staff work so very very hard. Truly. Now, as of presentation it's a very beautiful hotel, the pools are clean, the beach is less clean on the water, but they do keep the sand areas tidy. They have yoga and other exercise programs there at the beach, as well as water aerobics in the pool (shout out Julio Cesar). They have swim-up bars at the hotel pools and sometimes games there at poolside such as blackjack and bingo (shout out Mario). In addition, those same game organizers do dance classes (we did Cumbia and Bachata), karaoke, bon fires, live bands at the beach, uno, and "basura" (shout out Alex). The food at the buffet was great. They open 6:30am to 10:30pm, having four different kinds of soups per day, different specialty days (like oriental night, seafood night, etc), and many different desserts. (Pro tip there were never any bananas for the chocolate fountain). The workers were really great from the people seating us (shout out Laura and Yamirel), to the people who served our drinks, to the people cleaning and preparing the next meals. Really everyone is so hardworking and active. The Mexican restaurant didn't have great food, the Italian place was mediocre food, the tapas place had a pungent smell, pizza pizza was all dough, really the buffet is your best bet. But shout out to Alexandra at the Italian restaurant who really tried to accommodate and make suggestions for us to try the top appetizers. The rooms were good, they have four builds (1-4), i stayed on the ground floor of the 4th building. I will say there was rust in the drain of the hot tub, i was confused on the light switched, I called maintenance maybe three times for a door that would not lock but I wasn't afraid anyone would come in so I let it go, and the drawer to keep clothes in kept opening so I just put a trash bin in front of it so I wouldn't hit my shin on it. They TV was clear, there were a few movie channels, the internet/youtube access though on the TV kept giving me and error message. But reguardless, our house keeper kept everything tidy and neat (shout out Reña ** really really great job, thank you for everything !) The pools were great for swimming and relaxing, they had pleanty of beach chairs, people making rounds for drinks, and shout out to Lilliana for working hard to clean up the used towels after everyone was done. * also in case management gets a chance to read this, there was an altercation with a very young early 20s couple, they were beligerant to Lilliana for her trying to tidy up at 6pm, my mom tried to intervene and interpret, and they were also really rude to my senior citizen mother. In short, I went to apologize to Lilliana on behalf of the guests because she works so hard and is just trying to do her job and the disrespect that young lady showed was shameful. She is doing a lovey job and she handled the situation with grace and humility. Also shout out to Letica who takes out all the trash at the pool side garbage cans. Even though there is a lot of entertainment there at Azul they offer other packages such as swimming with dolphins which me and my mom did. They organized for us the pick up, drop off, time schedule, everything, shout out to Brandon for helping us. And Alfredo the manager. In short, I would 100% come back to Azul they had really the best staff and great amenities. The only down fall is let's say you want to go to a museum or main strip beach where the red buses go a taxi is $50 if you use the cab company that's safe and trusted, $38 if you take uber, either way a round trip is $80 minimum or $100+. So just keep that in the back of your mind when booking what you plan to do, either chill out at the resort doing resort activities (bars, food, spa, nails, gym, beach, pools, archery), or going site seeing and walking around. If you want to do tour buses, the buses do come to pick you up (i.e. chichen itza, coba, tulum, day trips, etc ). Again, really really thank you to each and every worker. They work so hard, it's incredible the treatment. Thank you. I'll be back to Azul soon. Thank you.
A trip to remember.

I love Karisma (the management company) and even though I never stayed at this hotel, I knew they would not disappoint. I met many travel agents years ago when I was working in the Riviera Maya and I knew I wanted someone who truly cared about their clients and the staff of the resorts, that is why I contacted James, and I booked my destination wedding with James from Be All Inclusive. He is the best travel agent you could ever have; he will fight for the best prices for you, and he has the best relationship with every hotel he works with. If he recommends a resort is because he has proof that it is a good one. Once we signed the agreement everything was very smooth. I worked everything out months in advance with the hotel about the wedding events and they were able to accommodate all requests I had. Once we landed in Cancun it just kept getting better and better. I don't have enough thank you words for the weddings department and especially for Gilberto and Yirem. Gilberto is a wonderful person, and he took great care of us, Yirem is the best coordinator you can ever have, I never had to worry about anything because I knew they were taking care of everything. The wedding day was perfect, and it is a day that will be in everyone's memories forever. This is something I will treasure forever. All my friends had great comments about the food, the decoration the venues, the staff, and the experience. We know seaweed is something resorts or humans cannot control, but this hotel did everything possible to not have seaweed at my beach wedding, as mentioned it was perfect. I will definitely be coming back soon.
An okay 3-4* resort, NOT 5*

An okay resort - certainly not a 5* platinum resort as advertised. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Areas of the resort were run down and not great - the restaurants have seen better days. The flow of the resort didn’t work for us, not many bars or places to relax in the evening. Food was fine, nothing special. We didn’t receive a welcome drink and hot towel as others had on arrival and we arrived at 3pm to check-in and were left waiting until closer to 4pm. Most of the employees were helpful and friendly. We stayed at a cheaper resort for a few days before and much preferred our stay there. We enjoyed our walk out suite as we never needed to battle for sun beds - the only major plus for us at this resort.
