    Thanks to Miguel, Daniel, John, Gio and Cesar for making our trip one to remember. They made us feel very welcomed and special the entire trip. They went above and beyond to make sure our trip was amazing. The staff in general was very nice.

    Worst Mexican Resort Experience Yet!

    I really wanted to try hard not to leave a bad review. We did everything in our power to correct the negatives on this trip, but simply could not. I can honestly say that out of all of the resorts we've stayed at in Mexico, this area and Cabo, this is the most poorly managed one. The resort itself is beautiful. It's not in the best area, really tucked away and not close to anything, but again, very beautiful. Food was great, service was great only if you tipped, and tipped generously, and we did, but only if we got great service. Even typing generously becomes a bit of headache because every time you walk into a restaurant or bar, the waiters fight over you as the managers just stand there and continue talking making it real awkward for you. Here's a breakdown of how our trip was ruined from day one: Terrible check-in: our room was not ready and our check in person at the "VIP" desk, whose name was Itzel, seemed inconvenienced that we were asking questions about our rooms-to-be, and routinely would talk to her colleagues as we're speaking to her. The airline lost one of our luggages and I didn't have my dress loafers to wear to their "high end" restaurant. I was wearing very nice sandals and otherwise dressed up, far more dressed up than anyone else going into there and restaurant manager (Emanuel) was ridiculously rude to our entire group, and did not even want to let the girls in, which were dressed perfectly fine. We then asked to speak to his manager. Abraham Vasquez showed up, and zero professionalism! Speaking to us like a thug, then later on following us around the resort with a $10 bottle of wine and offering "a dinner of our choice", mind you - this is an all-inclusive resort. Not sure if Mr. Vasquez got that memo or not :) The hygiene practices at the pool is the worse I've seen compared to any resort we've stayed at, and if they do this in the open and so blatantly, what goes on in places you can't see? The bartenders on 3 different occasions dropped cups on the floor which had a combination of pool water and dirt from their sneakers and picked them right back up and served in them. I even saw one bartender take a cup which was just used and retuned to the bar and refill it and give it to another client. Horrible! We went to the gift shop and bought cups for the remainder of our stay. We asked several times to speak to a director or general manager the following day, and they flat out would refuse. We even went to customer service upstairs and they did the same, clearly demonstrating that they've been instructed not to allow anyone to speak to the GM. When we got home, as members of AM Resorts we called the US Line and they provided us with the information for the management of this resort. We got a hold of the GM, Mr. Juan Perez, whom of course did not respond. His assistant, Ms. Alisandra Hernandez responded to us two weeks later, offering us a very generous handout, and she made sure we understood that they were so kindly throwing a bone our way, of a free 3 nights' stay for 2 people - even though mind you our original trip which these nice folks ruined was 6 nights, and there were 4 in our group. To add insult to injury, Ms. Hernandez was wondering why we didn't speak up at the time of the incident - clearly implying that we are doing this whole song and dance to take advantage of said free 3 nights... Needless to state the obvious, we declined any free handouts, but won't be back again. There are so many nicer places, in better locations for the same most of money, if not less. Do you selves a favor and book a better place - this coming from someone who has been to Mexico, all over Mexico, several times.

    Perfect All Inclusive Resort

    This was by far my favorite all inclusive resort I have ever been to in Mexico. Here are a list of things that made it best: 1. The atmosphere was fantastic. If you were in the mood for relaxation and activities, you could stay over in the center pool that had a gorgeous view of the ocean. If you were in the mood for a party scene, you could go to the party pool where the DJ and the dancers really amp you up. It was comforting to know that the whole place was not a party resort but you could find it if you wanted it. 2. Those activities, parties and atmosphere wouldn't be as fun without the people who work there. Specifically, we had Team E and a few of the people that really stuck out were, Lisa, Jerald, Daniel and Frank. They were committed to making sure everyone was included and having a good time. They remembered our names and at every event or activity we participated in, they were there with positive attitudes. Thank you all for helping make our trip so much fun. 3. The food was fantastic. I never had a complaint about the food. Loved how they had so many options to go eat and the wait was not long except one night but we went later rather than earlier. 4. The room was great. We got the Jr Suite Balcony Ocean view. I was very happy with what we got. 5. The day parties are amazing! I was not disappointed at all. They were all different and the DJs knew what they were doing. 6. Nightlife was a ton of fun too. They have different things going on before you might head to the night club on the resort, like a casino night or a neon party on the beach (that was my favorite party). 7. The beach was clean and they have a thing out in the water that helps block out the seaweed from getting to the beach. I think it help with keeping out sharks too but I'm not sure. It help my mind be at ease to think it did haha. 8. Only one recommendation, I wish there were more shows in the theater. There was only one we got to see and I was hoping to see more. Or if it was a raining day, maybe they could play movies in there for people to stay out of the rain. (Just an idea). I would recommend this resort to anyone who asks.

    This place is really spectacular. I am a very picky person and love giving objective comments about my experience. Highlights: 1. Great services from room cleaning staff, restaurant waiters/waitresses, to entertainment staff. 2. Very good building/room conditions - looks new and clean. 3. All inclusive food, drinks and services - you can simply stay there and not going out. 4. There are rooms to improve in terms of check in/out experiences and quality of food. Details: It is about 15 to 30 minutes shuttle ride from Cancun airport to Breathless. At the arrival, the staff welcome you with a wet towel to freshen up. It feels good on a hot day. Cons: I stood in line for a long time with only 2 desks open for handling check in and out processes. It takes forever for the guests to complete their processes in front of me. It seems like the staff is overly helpful and gave them a therapy session or something. It took me about 10 minutes to complete the check in process. I waited in line for about 30 minutes on a hot Sunday afternoon with 2 person in front of me. The whole site is divided into three sections: 1) The one on the left (facing the ocean) is the pool with the beach party music, frequently with live DJ (more disco like music?). I think this is where the more fancier theme parties will be. It has a long pool with see through glass at the end. (See my pictures or videos). Round shape hot tub. There is a "swim-up" bar. 2) The middle square endless pool with sitting area in the middle and square hot tub on the side usually have pop music and daily activities. Daily activities such as aqua fitness, volleyball, ...etc. There is a "swim-up" bar. 3) The pool on the right is for xhale members only area. It is a quiet round shape endless pool facing the beach. There is a separate big round hot tub on the side. Pros: The room is one of the best hotel rooms I have seen for this price range. See through shower in the middle of the room. Different ambient light combination for different mood (orange, light blue, ...etc), the air condition will turn on when you close the patio doors and vise versa. Ipad-like device for information and ordering in-room dining. Free mini-bar. The condition of the furniture is new. There is a strange little "box-in-the-wall" next to the door, so that you can put used dishes inside and someone will collect them. (So you don't need to open the door if naked and no mice running around!?) Pros: There are so many things to do in this place. There are different themes and parties everyday in the long pool. When I was there, there were bubble party, Roman, SOS, ...etc. There are daily activities in the middle pool. Aqua fitness, volleyball,...etc. There are other activities such as Yoga, Strong, kayaking, sailing tour, snorkeling tour, ...etc. I saw many people just stayed in the middle pool to drink and play activities all day, and everyday. Pros: Live shows. I have one word - "WOW". Breathless really invest in staff and money and effort in the live shows. Live bands in the Show Stopper - I saw a band with queen music. Live show in Wink with acrobatics. They are not to be missed. See pictures and videos attached. Pros: There are cafe, buffet, Asian, French, Italian, American (?). There are many to choose from. However, if you want the "teppanyaki" from the Asian restaurant Silk City, then I will advise you to make reservation at 3:30pm. ALL staff are very great in the services as well as details. In one of the videos that I attached, I recorded the staff were lining up glasses between tables! All the restaurants have great services. All the restaurants have very nice decoration and ambience. Cons: Food: Although there are many options Asian, French, Italian, American…etc. However, they got the look of the food but not the essence. For example, in Silk City, if they are trying to serve Japanese ramen, then it is a failure. The favor of the ramen is very light as if you can buy and cook a bag of cheap instant ramen with mushroom favour. Soup from real Japanese or Americanized Japanese ramen cooked for hours, they are usually thick and with lots of flavor. The Pad Thai is way too sweet and almost not edible in my opinion (and my friend’s). In Coquette (French) and Spumante (Italian), lobster risotto is undercooked, beef metallian is over cooked and salty. Picante (Mexican) is the most disappointed, my friend and I were looking for real authentic mexican food during this trip but we could not. Pros: Nook. This cafe is a real gem. They have better coffee than Coquette and Spumante. The location of this “hidden” cafe is somewhat cooler than other outdoor places. The gelato is good and especially on a hot day. Pros: Bites. This is a good place for lunch. Even though most food has the same issues that I mentioned above. The apple salad is better choice in the whole menu. Pros: Services: I never seen this level of services before - from room cleaning staff, lifeguards, restaurant waiters/waitresses, staff cleaning off the beach to entertainment staff. Special shout out to all entertainment staff. They have so much energy to provide good and long hours of entertainment to guests - Daniel, Miguel, Sandra, Gio, Lisa, Mariel, Jhon... Cons: The check out experience. When we check out, long line, the staff told me that there were 300 people checking in and only 3 of them. Not sure if this is exaggerated. Summary: I hope my review will give you a good idea about this place. This is definitely a nice place with great facilities, services and entertainment. I will definitely go back if they want me to review their food and facilities so that they can improve even better. * Sorry tripadvisor does not allow big uploads for better quality pictures and videos.     I spent a week supporting a large scale workshop with 200+ participants...ALL staff was amazing kind, helpful and attentive. Adriana and Esther have been incredibly helpful and amazing in catering to our needs. Alberto the lifeguard was also incredibly caring in looking after participants in their 6 am dives in the water...while giving them space.
