    This is the typical buffet restaurant of an all inclusive, but there are certain standouts that I must acknowledge. First, it’s about the people. Dinner shift service by Artemio, Olivia Lopez, and managed by Olivia Gomez, were personal, top notch, and sincere. It just felt like their goal was to understand how you were feeling and then do their best make sure everything was all right. I had specific dining requests that necessitated above-and beyond typical buffet fare and they accommodated without a blink. I hope the hotel management recognizes the gems they have on their staff and do something nice to recognize their efforts. Thank you!

    Great welcome, coktail hot towel on arrival and ready to start a very relaxing vacation. Service was outstanding, Cafe del Mar was outstanding in food selection and service 10/10. service from Israel was especially brilliant. Entertainment at night was great, games during the day at the beach was fantastic. the rooms were clean, great beds and linen., We loved it.

    Went with family and booked 4 rooms for a week. I have been a Palace member since 2005. I have been to 5 Palace Resorts. The spa was very nice and all the spa staff were excellent. Rooms were fine but inconsistent with turndown and refills of the refrigerator, coffee and snacks. The hotel was supposedly renovated 2 years ago, but paint peeling on our balcony walls. The shows were the same as other Palaces, but They did not have a/c in the lobby bar area and the shows were inside which was stifling hot with that many people. The food in the restaurants was generally good, but surprised there was no true Mexican restaurant, only at the buffet. All restaurant waitstaff were great. But, disappointed that Some of the listed restaurants were not there anymore. The worst service was at the pool. There was horrible service. Not that many people at the pool, so waitstaff should have been more consistent. We waited for menus after asking many times and a long time waiting for food. The pool area was dirty in the am, with food, plates and glasses left out all night. When people finished eating and left, plates were not always picked up and the birds knocked them off the tables onto the ground and the waitstaff walked by like it was not their job. This brought lots of gulls and other birds, leading to poop. The pool chair cushions got covered in poop overnight which was not cleaned by morning, either. Also we did have overnight and some daytime rain and the cushions were saturated. I had to make the suggestion to at least upend the cushions to let them drain so guests did not have to come out to totally soggy chairs that even towels didn’t help. That should have been a nobrainer! At the hotel entrance by the towel room there was no cigarette container and people crushed their cigs on the ground and they were left there. Gross! One morning there were at least a dozen. Bottom line, disappointed and will not go back to Playacar Palace.

    We have been members at the Moon Palace for a few years now, we have enjoyed a day trip to the Playacar Palace once but never stayed there. My wife decided at the last minute to book a long weekend near the end of September (in two days) for a surprise birthday gift for me. The Diamond Concierge's Tania and Paola responded the very next day and took care of everything. We arrived the next day and was greeted and whisked away to a very fun 4 days. One of the ladies - Elvira Blanco from Sales also took such good care of us during the stay. Service was so excellent at Bochilli's, the manager Paola, her staff Ricardo, Oscar, Angel and Marisol were so wonderful we ate there every night. We did happen to find our way to the spa and Nancy and Ester did a great job pampering us but our most memorable massage was the 4 handed Kulkahkan massage but I'm sad to say we didn't get there names!! During our stay we even visited the Cozumel Palace on a spur of the moment and the Diamond Concierge there Jose Luis took great care in showing us the property including rooms and restaurants as we had never been to this gem of a Moon Palace Property. We lounged at the pool and were well take care of by the pool bartenders; Raul & Francesco. The whole weekend at Playacar Palace was wonderful that we already booked another long weekend in January.

    Here at Playa Del Car now! Can’t say enough good things about Tania, Diamond Concierge, Eder, Pool Concierge, Sylvia pool waitress! And of course waiters: Ivan and Antonio (Momo’s), Israel, Dionico, Marco & the whole staff(Cafe Del Mar). Thank you for knowing what we want/need before we ever ask and making this trip extra special every step of the way!
