Comfortable, pleasant stay
Reviewed by LoDown16(San Francisco, California) on Dec 12, 2019
I really enjoyed my stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rate for my stay was very reasonable for my 2 night stay (12.5-7.19) at $175/night not including the resort fee of $37/night. I received an amazing room upgrade (note: I have Marriott Bonvoy Elite Gold status) from queen room with no view to Ainahau Tower with 2 queens and (partial?) ocean view! The room itself was comfortable with nice amenities (including robe and slippers and change ports by both night stands). Good location in the heart of Waikiki and super easy to get around towns on The Bus which is just about a block away on Kuhio. Didn’t rent a car this time but I do like that they have a self-parking lot over valet only (although it’s shared with the Moana Surfrider). I would definitely stay here again in the future.
GREAT LOCATION AND SERVICE

We have stayed here before so looked forward to returning. Check in was awesome, Ziggy on the front desk was awesome and our room was ready early. Everyone on the service desk were so helpful and accommodating that it was a pleasure to deal with them. I used one card for the deposit but paid on another when we departed and there were no issues. Rooms are big enough in size although the bathrooms are a bit dated, they were well serviced. Lifts were a little hit and miss although any hotel at peak times will have this issue. Dining options were limited so we never ate there but there are plenty of options nearby. Location cannot be beaten in downtown Honolulu although be aware of the sirens you will most nights. We were in a room on level 5 in the partial ocean view room and it was not the hotels fault (blame our travel agent) ut in reality it is the bottme floor in this wing so views are limited
undisclosed pricing

Beautiful hotel , great location, but after I booked a family of 4 in a package for 4 adults, it wasn't until they received the travel documents that a paragraph disclosed that an extra person charge applies to those over 18 years and older occupying a room with two adults. They wanted an additional $581 for the couples 18 & 20 year old to stay in the room with them for 3 nights. Beware. We did not receive this fine print until after booked and didn't realize it pertained to them since we had booked 4 adults in 1 room.
Went there to celebrate my bday.

We stayed at this hotel for my 60th bday for a week and got a room with no view at all and no balcony. Requested for an upgrade but could not get it till later the end of our stay. Location wise it’s perfect because you’re close to everything. We only had breakfast once and it was good. We ate outside because there’s a lot of eating joints to choose from. There’s one staff named Maricel who serviced our room that I highly would recommend and gave her a thumbs up. She looked after us so well and made us welcome living away from home. A big credit to her. Get a room with a view and a balcony.
beautifully located and acessible

this hotel is located very conveniently cross from the beach...they even give you chairs and towels to carry across the street...they at certain times they come with cold water and fresh fruit....nice amenity...especially since you pay a resort fee...others you pay but don't get anything for it...pool was a bit disappointing....a bit on cool side...breakfast was very nice except for the pigeons that continually wanted to join us...staff tried to keep them away but really difficult ...some people may find it difficult to return to your table after leaving it to get something and see a pigeon helping himself to your toast! staff is very helpful and the two gentlemen who have a table for selling jewelry and another for free leis making, ukulele lessons and bead a very warm and helpful.......added to the niceties of the hotel...upon check in we were given cold water and a leis to wear......water was also present gratis in our room each day...
