Royal Lahaina Resort

Fantastic experience considering all the procedures in place for keeping staff and guests safe. Very friendly employees who are always ready to assist with requests. We were apprehensive at first, traveling during this time, and were relieved the moment we checked in that guests were required to provide their negative test results. We will be back for sure.

I fell in love with Maui because of this place. Staff are friendly and beach is amazing! Second time here! Coming back sooner than later. Family loves it too. Making this an annual trip and not staying anywhere else.

2nd sray at resort first was in the main hotel with a great view and good size room this time beach front cottage and that is our new way to go it was awesome a coulpe step; to everything incuding the beach another nice thing is the board walk is behind you so no people traffic all day

Our family of 7 split up in two separate rooms in one of the Royal Lahaina huts. The huts are definetly outdated but we are not typically impressed with overpaying for sleeping accommodations so it was perfect for us! The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable! We had a short walk to a lovely, uncrowded beach! It was everything we wanted! We booked the stay with the breakfast package and we were very pleased with the food and service. Please note that this package includes a $2 per person (per day) tip in the paid package. We did not realize this and tipped generously each morning. Again, the staff is wonderful! We were aware of the $15/daily parking fee & are okay with it; but our suggestion to the resort would be as follows: The guests paying $15/daily for parking should use the front lot closer to the resort. The guests paying $30/daily for valet service should have their cars parked in the back lot as it is much easier for hotel staff to zip over to that lot on a golf cart and retrieve the vehicle than it is for guests on foot. I'm not personally complaining but please take into consideration this change as you do have many elderly guests and families with young children. It would be a very simple change that would benefit all of your guests at no additional cost to you. This was a very special trip for our family as this was the last state needed to complete our goal of traveling to all 50 states with our children! If we are fortunate enough to visit Maui again we would definitely book a stay at The Royal Lahaina. Thanks for everything!! The Chek Family

The hotel is beautiful but I was frustrated by the lack of water fountains, vending and ice machines. I asked the front desk for a bottle of water and was offered a small $2 can of soda. Also please be forewarned that there is a HUGE transportation shortage on Maui. No Uber, No Lyft! If you can, rent a car or you may be stuck at your hotel most of the time. This hotel is uphill and not as convenient to walk to and from as others and the trolley service is nice but only goes so far until about 5:45pm.
