Loved the old feel of Vegas at the Flamingo
k2Sue (Terre Haute, Indiana) on Mar 16, 2024
The room itself was very, very clean. We had a terrific view from the 22nd floor and overall, an excellent stay. We were told we were in the remodeled building. We did not contact the front desk, with a few minor issues, as we were hardly in the room much. We were attending ASD March in Vegas. The only stop to a 5-star were a few room issues: the hot water faucet was screwed down so tight on the sink that we had to rotate the entire fixture to get hot water. And, do not count on the shower having full shampoo, body soap, or conditioner as an amenities. One container was completely removed, and the pump with conditioner was so old it was hardened. Daily cleaning was excellent. We hung up towels to reuse and they were replaced every day. Towels were soft and always had one extra set left every day. They could conserve so much here on laundry!
Flamingo was a great Choice!

Came to be a tourist in Vegas seeing the Grand Canyon, did an ATV excursion, see the sphere, eat and play a little. The Flamingo was a great choice. It was in the middle of the strip action, room and facility was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was hot , the Live Flamingo - birds and wildlife animal area was a lot of fun, and had a back entry to the shops and retail section it shares with the Linq Casino. Great restaurants that are affordable . Shout out to the Chayo , Yard, Brick oven Pizza, Carlos & Charlie’s. Casino was fun too!

only gave one pillow per person and to get more they wanted to charge $14 per pillow, the WIFI wasn’t great , the shower got the floor soaked everytime it ran . other than that it was okay. clean beds , newer rooms have refrigerator which is a plus

Disappointed. Make sure you bring your own soap, shampoo, and conditioner, because although there are dispensers in the bathroom for each, they are all empty. . May want to bring your own towels too; room provided only two very small bath towels, two hand towels, and two washcloths. Don't expect a microwave or coffeepot in the room as they are not provided either. Expect to pay a lot for any food or drinks at their food court (i.e., a hamburger & fries = $26) or at their Starbucks (1 medium house blend and 1 medium mocha = $19). Expensive... but after all Las Vegas is geared to the wealthy only!
THIS PLACE IS A DUMP

This place is a dump. We wanted an “old Vegas” experience, and what better place to stay for such an experience, at least on the Strip, than The Flamingo, the oldest continually operating casino hotel on the Strip. So we didn’t expect the types of amenities we enjoyed at newer hotels in Vegas. But we also didn’t expect an immersive trip back to the ‘50s, complete with a spartan room (no refrigerator, coffee maker, or ironing board) that looked like it could have been untouched since Ben Siegel built the place. We didn’t expect a check-in staff whose rudeness was only exceeded by its indifference and lack of, or utter unwillingness to share, knowledge about the hotel’s layout, features, or attractions. We also didn’t expect to pay an outrageous “resort fee” for amenities, like one of the pools, that weren’t open when we were there. The only helpful and courteous people on the staff were the guys who worked at the cab stand. They were a joy, matched only by the knowledge that we would soon get a cab to get us away from this horror of a hotel. The Flamingo is a dump; don’t stay there. If you can’t afford anything else, simply stay home.
