Fabulous Resort in Kauai

Fabulous resort right on beach, beautiful sunsets, you will see turtles and monk seals. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable, the staff are wonderful and very helpful, one of our favorite places to stay, highly recommend staying here, great location.
Very comfortable with great nearby options

We really enjoyed timeshare lodgings here. The staff were very nice, and nearby beach, restaurant and outdoor play options we awesome. We really enjoyed this spot as base for south side Kauai exploring. The pool areas weren't huge and were busy early but we spent more time on the very nice nearby beaches.
Not great

We could not bear to stay here for more than 1 night. Everyone that worked at the resort were very nice. But, for $400+ a night, you're getting Hampton Inn quality, or a 2 star hotel. The property is dated, it needs a major upgrade. The food at the Lava restaurant by the pool was not good at all. The fish tacos were dry, and it's hard to mess up fish tacos. Not coming back... I wouldn't recommend it either.
Crazy resort extra fees

The Resort fees were $40/day for 7 days. We used none of what was “offered” and still had to pay $280 plus taxes. It’s Ridiculous that this is not optional or refundable. Otherwise, the Resort was beautiful and staff was pleasant except for checkout when I found out about the exorbitant extra fees.
Awful Sheraton experience.

Arrived to check in for a 4 night stay at this “4 star” resort. No bell man met us to help with luggage. Our room was a supposed upgrade luxury king ocean view room. It was more like a motel 6, with a single sink vanity bathroom with plastic shower curtain. We were told all luxury king rooms were ground level, and this room had sliding glass doors that opened to a public grass area with the public beach and ocean beyond, leaving zero privacy unless doors a closed and locked and curtains drawn. We were appalled. We immediately checked out, but not before having a 30 minute argument because even tho we weren’t staying they wanted to charge us for one night. We’d just come from another 4 star Marriott property on a different Hawaiian island and there simply was no comparison. Very disappointing and disturbing. I guess Sheraton properties leave much to be desired.
