Watch what you pay for

Paid for an ocean view room but was given a pool view room. We were switched to correct room but at checkout we were charged an extra $240 for "upgrading rooms". Also lost $3k in excursions. Food was great.
Avoid if you're looking for a peaceful vacation

If you are a couple looking for a peaceful vacation, this place is not for you. Even during low occupancy, there were multiple bachelor/bachelorette parties whose soul purpose was to get drink all day. Even with that, not sure how you would ever drink enough to get there because the drinks were so watered down and selection was limited to watered down well drinks and 2 choices of light beer. Room also had strong mildew smell and zero bathroom privacy. French restaurant was terrible, Asian restaurant was fine.
Great stay!

Overall, a great place for a Mexico vacation. Covid protocols are stricter than in the US - really safe. Weather was great, pools were relaxing, and the food was one again great (esp for all-inclusive). Maria Zamora's tacos at the adult bar were amazing and the family really liked the food at the steak place! The beds were a bit hard for myself, but the rest of the family did well. The breakfast buffet didn't seem as good as I remembered it from before, but part of that was probably due to Covid (no self-serving). Could have more activities for kids (if your kids don't dig swimming all day). Wifi and cellular service (ATT) were all top-notch though.
Great Staff, Beautiful location

The resort is beautiful. From the moment you step into the lobby, the vistas are breathtaking. The staff was superb. So friendly and attentive and they kept everyone safe, which was much appreciated. The restaurants at the resort were all amazing and the food was actually some of the best resort food I've had. Drinks were great as well. My only small issue was the lack of heat lamps at the oceanside restaurant. Cabo in February can be quite chilly & I would have truly loved to have a heat lamp at our tables when we ate at this restaurant. It did not take away from the vibe though, just made us a bit chilly. Would definitely stay here again.
Great place, Club level not worth it

We were a family of five with a 7 year old, 5 year old, and 2 year old. Beautiful resort right on the beach with great views and great pools. We enjoyed the staff as everyone is very welcoming and kind. The buffet breakfast was delicious every morning and had good variety of food. Our favorite was the crepes and the omelet station. The service we received from Lugardo and Arnolfo (SP) was hands down the best service around. They interacted with our kids daily and made our breakfast morning extra special. The kids pool is great as there are lots of fun slides and the water isn't very deep so it felt safe. Restaurants: Dozo was the best. Be sure to reserve the hibatchi table as soon as you check in.The food and experience here was wonderful. We did also eat at a regular table at Dozo and had the sushi and other food options off the menu. Everything we had was delicious. We did not enjoy the food at La Hacienda or The italian restaurant. The food at the Italian restaurant was slightly better than La Hacienda, but took awhile to get food. The male host at La Hacienda was so kind and took time chatting with the guests and made the experience worth the wait. Some of the other notable food options on the resort: -Marias Tacos next to adult pool is AMAZING -Shrimp Ceviche and the guac from coco loco snack bar is awesome -Room service burgers and quesadillas were some of our kids favorites -Hot dogs form the blue taco truck with pico on it was fun for our kids as well -Blue lagoon drink was our favorite alcoholic beverage outside of the club lounge. (mojito was a close second) Overall the food was slightly above average with desserts being below average unfortunately. We were looking forward to over indulging in yummy desserts all week:) The nightly shows/performances at the theaters are so fun to go to. The dancers/performers do a great job with a variety of dances and they interact with the guests after the shows. Our kids looked forward to this every night. The only real negative I have to say about this resort was that we felt the 'club' experience was the biggest rip off. Our check in experience gave no info and took forever and our room was near the back of the property. We spoke with others that have come to this property before and upgraded to club and said that club rooms are supposed to be towards the front of the property (near beach). We did not receive the bands in place of room keys like other club level guests received and the 'upgraded snacks' in your room is literally one mini size bag of lays potato chips that never was restocked. I feel they need to stop advertising 'upgraded snacks' as there is none. The club lounge was nice and quiet and had stronger/better drinks, but you would have to walk to the lounge every time you wanted a drink to make it even some what worth it. The food sat in the warmer/cooler all day long and was not good. The servers were always wonderful and the display case of desserts was fun. Otherwise Club upgrade was terrible and I wish I would have saved my money for something else. I feel that a lot of American resorts could come here and learn a thing or two about customer service. The people here are what make it so fabulous! I never encountered an unfriendly person or someone who wasn't willing to help/answer questions. We hope to come back in the future.
