Great Staff, but really disappointing overall.

We upgraded our vacation package, and this resort was still really lacking. Although the staff were attentive and friendly, the amenities just weren't great. We didn't end up eating at any of the a la cate restaurants, due to the extremely long lines. People were leaving their shoes outside overnight to save their space in line the next day! The food was subpar to most other resorts I've been to in Mexico, DR, and the Bahamas. We ate out down the street and one night just ordered pizza - that's how bad it was!! The upgrade wasn't really worth it either. The building was ok, but it was VERY noisy with weddings and parties. The roof top is extremely hot and the pool that is up there is murky and warm - it actually had caution tape on it while we were there because some tile work needed to be fixed. Our rooms weren't cleaned until 5pm most days as well. Just overall disappointing and in need of some major upgrades.
So unbelievably amazing!!! Will definitely come back here every year

Okay, first of all, aside from the fact that you can just sit and relax all day, there is also constant entertainment available for you, and your children! There are people dedicated to making sure your children have a great time, all while stay active and away from their phones! There are different games and activities each day, such as volleyball (in the pool, and on the ground) , water polo, early morning yoga classes, and they all have 1-2 hour breaks in between them, so you can also eat and rest before the next activity! My personal favourite people from the entertainment facilities were Omar and Tania, who were always bursting with optimism and enthusiasm!! They ALWAYS found a way to get the crowd excited. Speaking of eating, they have 5 different restaurants at the resort, which consist of different types of food, that (trust me) will meet all of your needs. This consists of Italian, Mexican, Asian, and grill, and a buffet! My personal favourite is the buffet, because you have so much freedom over what you eat, and when, and it has an amazing view of the beach and ocean. And every day there is a special small dish that the waiters serve, whether it is ice cream, fruit cups, or drinks. And the waiters that are serving these meals to you are amazing!! They are quick, and focussed, all while keeping a smile on their faces! My personal favourites were Yolanda, Ismael, and Manuel (Manny). They were always open for conversations, and always had your food ready for you no more than 3 minutes after ordering. And trust me, you will want an amazing view of the ocean, because the view is SPECTACULAR!! Getting up to see the sunrise was a definite highlight for me during my vacation. And for those who aren’t early risers, the sunsets are stunning, as well as the overall view of the ocean and beach during the day :) The resort itself is stunning, and the memories I made with other children will ALWYAS be tucked into the pocket of my mind, and I will most definitely be coming back to this resort every year. ??
Don’t waste your money don’t stay here!

This hotel is in need of repairs desperately. The common reply when asking for help with the room issues is “we’ll be there in 10 minutes “. Nope. Don’t seem to care…. Most of the staff are wonderful and the hotel are very lucky to have them but somewhat a language barrier which a translate app helped. We were disappointed in the room as getting an electric shock touching the mirror 2 feet from sink (no gfi plugs) wasn’t fun or safe. The door latch broken, blinds falling down, TV had issues too. Asked 3 times for help but it took the maid to make a call to get us help. One guest called front desk from their cell phone as they wouldn’t answer front desk phone!! Seriously? What if there’s an emergency? A few of the front desk staff weren’t very nice. Buffet only had minimal hot trays of same food daily. While the higher priced rooms Altitude had access to certain restaurants the other over crowded ones could not use them yet they were empty. The staff were polite but put up with awful abuse from some guests. Instead of dealing with the 5-10 spring breakers harassing other guests and abusing staff it was ignored and they continued. Wouldn’t use the adult pool anymore. Some other guests had to clue them in. Rude! No beach chairs so overcrowded pools. Problems with birds attacking food on plates which they tried to deal with…. As for all inclusive you were given 2 beers, 2 pops, 2 waters daily IF they showed up! Ridiculous! Is this what we paid for? I was told it was $700 US more per night to upgrade yet everyone was told different prices. Who’s going to pay that for a run down hotel? New owners were taking over but the new paint doesn’t address so many hidden issues. Very disappointed! I will never stay here again!
Dingy rooms, bad customer service

Writing into express the horrible room conditions and terrible customer service we received at Krystal Grand Los Cabos resort in Mexico. I purchased the 5 night vacation for myself, husband and 3 yr old son to have an all inclusive experience. We were expecting a welcome drink upon arrival and to be welcomed at check-in. Upon arrival to the resort, we were told we needed to check in at the other side of the resort. We stood and waited outside 20 mins for a shuttle to take us to the backside of the resort. Their shuttle minivan’s had no interior cover so the metal, cables and wires were exposed. The check-in area at the back of the resort was undergoing renovation - dark, no lights; caution tape everywhere; actively being painted. There was no bellhop to carry our bags, so we lugged our luggage to the room. We arrived to a dingy and filthy room that looked nothing like the pictures online. We immediately went to the front deck and requested a different room and offered to pay for an upgrade if necessary. We were told there were no more rooms available for us because of how we booked. We were told we would have to book an entire new vacation. We ask for the manager and was told the same thing- there were no other rooms available for us and that our choices were to 1) stay in the same room, 2) buy an additional room in the same resort at the full price or 3) leave the resort. We chose to leave the resort and checked out at the front desk. As requested by the resort, we filled out paperwork for the same day check-out then we walked our luggage from the room and took a taxi away to another resort. Days after requesting a refunds, I received an email advising Krystal Grand Los Cabos will not provide the refund. We were not given the option to get another room nor pay to upgrade to a better option. Krystal Grand Los Cabos gave us no option and will not honor lies they’re selling on online with the crappy room they are offering travelers. Krystal Grand Los Cabos needs to correct this inconvenience and issue the refund.
The Resort that Can

We had the pleasure of going to this resort for a weeks vacation on Feb 25 this year and really enjoyed our stay. Make sure to upgrade to the altitude club. The ability to have access to a concierge (for trips and restaurant reservations), the altitude breakfast area, the roof top bar (sky lounge), the martini and tapas bar and your own altitude building is worth it. The resort itself is getting long in the tooth but the staff make up for it. Their meals were very good and while you are there try to catch the main buffet's Mexican night as well as Rock night, the selection of food is over the top. The special people that made our stay enjoyable included our concierge Esmeralda, our breakfast server Karen (and Kevin on our last day), the Sky Lounge bartender (sorry don't have his name) and the room cleaning staff that did an excellent job. Big thank you to the resort for a nice stay, and we understand they are going through a change in ownership. Hopefully the new owners will put some capital into the rooms and make this an excellent facility.
