This was our 3rd trip to Jewel Grande and it’s the best one yet. My husband and I along with our 2 daughters, stayed in the penthouse in the Silver Bldg (Bldg B). Beautiful and spacious room with the best view. I literally have nothing bad to say about the resort. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the grounds are gorgeous. The food has gotten better and better each time we’ve been there. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was not ready as it was before noon. We passed the time at Crickets grill dining on Jerk chicken and beef and chicken patties (my personal favorite). Within the hour, Keen, one of our 2 butlers, escorted us with our luggage to our room. We met Remon the next day. We honestly never had much luck with the butlers during our 2 previous stays but Keen & Remon were the best. I would wake up every morning to a message from them asking if we needed anything and a schedule of the days events. Whatever request we had, it was granted immediately and with a smile. The penthouse is 3 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms with 3 pull out couches. We had our own hot tub on the balcony. I don’t think I will ever stay in a nicer room than this. All of the restaurants have delicious food. Crickets & Pelican are the 2 pool bars. Le Bouchon (steak house) Pierside (Japanese), and Moonstone (Italian). Waves is the other restaurant however, it was not our taste. I won’t say anything bad, it just wasn’t our cup of tea. Orchids is the buffet and our kids would usually say that was their choice for all meals but this time it was only open for breakfast and lunch. A blessing because it forced them to agree to go to the other restaurants and they loved all of them. We did go to the buffet for breakfast daily. We ordered lunch from the pool bars and ate in our private cabana on the beach. So worth it for the shade and personal cooler. Suline is the waitress for the cabanas and she would check in throughout the day to see if we needed anything. Byron, one of the lifeguards on the beach, saw that my daughter was hiding in the shade with a little sunburn. He came back a few minutes later with an aloe leaf for her. Just another way the staff of the Jewel Grande go out of their way to make the guests happy. The beach is kept very clean. The sand is raked clean of debris and footprints in the morning. The chairs are lined up just so. They lay down a rope and pull each chair up to the exact line. There is a nightly show of music and dancing from 8:30-9:30 and an after party with a DJ from 10-11:30. Not much to do but that’s how we like it. Saved the best for last. The general manager, Vishal, is superhuman. He is literally everywhere, all the time. I don’t think he ever sleeps and I’m pretty sure he has the power to teleport himself from one place to another. I think we saw him the most. Every day we would see him walking by the beach checking to make sure everyone was happy and he was at every restaurant at night making sure things were running smoothly. He would be at the breakfast buffet serving waffles. There was one night the steak house was particularly busy, and there he was helping out any way his could. He noticed there was a tiny tear in my chair upholstery, and by the time I had gotten back from the salad bar, I had a new chair at my table. This is how meticulous the service is. I could go on and on but you get my point. We will be booking trip #4 very soon!

Julian makes the best drinks when they do beach parties! Moyando takes great care of you. Love these people so much!!!!!!! Make sure to ask Moyando to go to town. He will get you a personal driver. The shows are great. Make reservations for Pierside and definitely go to the steakhouse. This place is so great.

Service was amazing. Unlike any resort in Jamaica. Marvin, tischell, Gary, Ricardo... too many to the name. The staff treats you absolutely superb. Food was pretty good with some island classics actually with seasoning, not just for the general American palate. You must try the Steak house. Great entertainment, different acts brought in every night from all over the island. Synchronized swimmers, Easter bunny, live band, dinner under the stars. So much offered and really appreciated. Again, the staff. They do a spectacular job to make people feel welcomed. One downside, the room categories are off. There are NO ocean front rooms. Plenty of ocean view, but you can not walk directly from your room out to the ocean without a bunch of steps. If they updated the website descriptions, they’d be better off in setting expectations. Still an amazing suite and experience.

Great service. I was very pleased.

I was excited to come here based on the reviews and my expectations were met. The staff members were extremely attentive. The oceanfront junior suite was awesome and I was pleased to see the General Manager on site, being hands on, while greeting and assisting the crew and guest.. The food was also good.. I had exercise in the water with the fitness instructor Kevin who led an exciting class. Overall i would rate them 9.5/10. Would recommend this resort to anyone..

PROS Facility was great, our room was a renovated condo with two bedrooms each with its own bath and walk in closet. Awesome living room, dining room and full kitchen Staff was wonderful. Vernon, Garon and the Head Chef (his name escapes me) treated us wonderfully Spa was great, technician named Kamala took care of me during my manicure, pedicure and massage Steak House was awesome, I recommend the Rib Eye Hotel entertainment was fun. Great Michael Jackson impersonator. Also enjoyed Boot Camp in the morning but wish it would have been more than just one day during the week of our visit. Handled all our transportation needs to and from the hotel as well as to Dunns River Falls. CONS Check in. We arrived at 12:30pm, the room was to be ready 3:00pm we weren't allowed into the room until 4:00pm all the while we're watching people arriving after us being escorted to their rooms. We were told we couldn't go into the room until the manager cleared it but the staff couldn't get in contact/a response from the manager for an entire hour ... very frustrating. We had to have our toilets in our room serviced EVERY DAY We paid for an Ocean View room but could not see the ocean. Master Bedroom view was of a hotel wall. Other bedroom view was of the highway Communication disconnects between the concierge and butler. We made appointments/cancellations that weren't fully communicated throughout the team. I'm chalking up some of the cons to the resort not being fully prepared for the traffic associated with Spring Break so will give it another chance. The people and staff treated us very well, their efforts were greatly appreciated.
