    Amazing Experience

    I believe it comes natural for someone to give all the negatives but rarely find time to express the positives. I feel quite led to express my experience this past weekend. As locals who choose to "staycation" at Couples Resorts in particular Sans Souci, there are themed events and specialty nights to which we have gotten accustomed. On our arrival this past weekend, we were a bit his heartened to learn that there would be no Gala night due to the protocols being observed in relation to Covid-19. We expressed our dismay and gave our feedback to the Front desk Manager La Shaun H, who immediately sought to remediate what could have turned out to be a disappointing time for us. She called the restaurants and had the Executive chef (I cant believe ive forgotten his name) prepare a menu that was off menu especially for the 4 of us! The meal was heavenly and the chef came to greet us personally at dinner! We felt super special. Through out our stay La Shaun ensured that we were taken care of and that all our expectations were met. She arranged that our dinner from Casanova was prepared and personally delivered to our respective rooms. She came us the red carpet treatment. La Shaun even went as far as to remain on property even after her shift ended to ensure that we received our dinner on time. What service! As locals, we tend to think that this service is reserved only for visitors to the Island, but La Shaun proved us wrong! We spend our anniversary annually with Sans Souci, but this is the first time i have been "WOWED" thank you La Shaun! you have reminded us that while there are several options available, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE is what separates @Couplesresorts from the other guys (believe me, we have cheated!) its not worth it, we have has to return home. There is no experience like the one received at Couples and what we experienced more recently with La Shaun. Mr. Battaglia, please commend La Shaun ,your Executive Chef and the Romance Rewards ladies on a great job! See you all next year if not before!     Best Trip Ever!

    This was my first all inclusive experience and the first time to Jamaica and I was nervous that something would be forgotten since I wasn’t in control of plan I g it and imagined waiting at the airport. It took 10 minutes after entering the couples area at Montego Bay. The drive was long but very relaxing. The driver gave us a tour along the way and pointed things out even pulling over to take pictures of scenery. When we arrived Lenny greeted us and grabbed our bags. He walked us into the lobby and handed us a cold towel and glass of champagne. We were checked in quickly and then headed to the room by vehicle. It was a short drive and we were able to get settled. Then we explored the property. While exploring we found ourselves lost but ran into Albert who was doing some landscaping. Even though he was working he stopped to give us direction and check to make sure we were ok - we loved Albert! Next we headed to get food and the food was incredible every single time we ate. Cooked perfectly with healthy options and always different. The next day we headed to the pool and met Anthony and Mighue at the bar by the main pool. Anthony was funny and we enjoyed taking to him. Mighue helped coordinate games and events and we ended up playing trivia by the pool. It was a lot of fun. We drank a lot and ended up going up stairs to nap. That evening we had a fabulous private dinner schedule and were lucky enough to be served by Jordaine. In fact, we scheduled another private dinner that trip so we could have Jordaine as our server. The second dinner he went ABOVE AND BEYOND and bought us a paper lantern that we lit after sunset and watched float into the sky. When we checked out the other bars on the resort we met Ramone and Sheldon at balloon bar. Ramone was hilarious and being around him made us understand why people have so much fun in Jamaica! A few nights later my husband went to find a cigar cutter at balloon bar and met Sheldon who helped take care of him and had great conversation. We visited sunset beach twice where we were served by Julia at the bar and Fayon organizing events and games. Both girls made the entire pool laugh too many times, everyone really enjoyed themselves. I think what was most impressive was the general manager constantly walking the property to make sure things were up to standard - including maintenance, landscaping, COVID guidelines being upheld (he wore a mask the whole time), and many other things like greeting people at the restaurant or thanking guests for being there. We had the most amazing time and can not wait to come back.

    If any of you have an upcoming vacation scheduled for Couples San Souci and are having second thoughts about going, we strongly encourage you to go, have fun, relax, enjoy, and escape the madness. We returned from a trip to San Souci on Saturday and had a wonderful one week vacation. The steps that the resort has taken to insure that everyone stays safe (them from you and you from them) are more than adequate if that is your concern. The staff, the vendors, and many of the Jamaican people have suffered greatly from the financial effects of the corona virus. Most have been off work for 3-4 months. They are very happy to see us come home and worked very hard to make our vacation wonderful. The food is as great and plentiful as ever (my husband gained five pounds). We missed the great breakfast buffet, but room service was prompt each morning with the same menu as the Pallazina. What we hated most was that the staff had to always wear masks because we miss seeing their wide smiles. Once again, everyone was always very appreciative to see us back and thanked us over and over again for returning. As to the logistics of the trip - air travel is air travel, but the getting through Jamaican health screening and customs was efficiently done. One hour from the plane to shuttle bus for us. But if four planes arrive at the same time, expect a longer wait. I usually never post, but for the sake of our friends and San Souci, I wanted to tell you about our trip. God Bless.

    Ready for guests to be back in paradise!

    Ok, just finished 14 glorious days at the resort. If you have been on the fence about going down to Jamaica, just do it! I felt so much safer and relaxed than at home in the US, and I am from a very low positive rate state. They take this very serious here and make sure that measures are being kept to keep guest and staff safe and infection free. Yes you will have to sanitize your hands several times a day, yes you may be asked to wear a mask if you are inside a building in close contact with staff. It's a small price to pay to enjoy paradise and make sure the island stays at a low impact. Things are a little different because of the current measures, no buffets, some service limitations, etc, but they are more than making up for it with some of the best service in Caribbean! I also want to give a special shout out to chef Tyrone Jackson, this was by far some of the best food we have had at Couples in awhile, not that it was bad before, but he has really stepped up the culinary game there. The repeater's dinner, the re-focus on Carribean cuisine at night at Bella Vista and as always the incredible meals at Palazina & Casanova. The workers there are truly happy that we are coming back and ask that more come visit soon. They are so happy to get some sort of normal back in their lives. I also would recommend if you do travel down and can get tested ahead of time even from a non-high risk state, do it. It was such a comfort for the guests and staff there to know that everyone visiting had been tested before coming. I know that a few have posted that it was socially irresponsible to travel during this time, but actually to me it is irresponsible to not do it the right way and to not support the places you expect to be there when this is all over. Several also posted comments about lack of social distancing in things like the Sunday night martini bar pics, etc. Again, unless you were there, please reserve your comments and instead try to prop up the ones supporting the resorts, there is enough criticism and angst in the world today. Feel free to contact me about any questions you may have, more than willing to answer right away. Now let our countdown to the next stay begin - 78 days!!!

    8th Anniversary

    I recently celebrated my 8th anniversary at Couples San Souci and had an amazing time. The food and drinks were excellent and the service top notch. What is most impressive is the balance they have maintained with making you feel very safe while still making you feel relaxed and truly on vacation. It was an amazing trip, great job Couples San Souci.
