Rooms not like photos, beach view is actually a view of the back of the building in front of us with the ocean in background. Building is so ugly it takes away from beach view. All night valet parking going on outside, loud. Rooms were a little refreshed but still old, not clean. Air conditioners in wall and sooooo loud we couldn’t sleep. They were old and rusty. Beds were uncomfortable and sheets were like paper. The price was crazy for what we got. I paid because I thought we get the view and location but it was not worth the $700 a night. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and don’t mind spending money, but this was not at all worth the extra money.

I come to this hotel every year or so for the last 46 years. It just keeps getting worse. I only stay here for the location. The rooms are old and dirty. You feel unclean staying here. Furniture is dirty, bathroom is moldy and gross. If I owned this hotel I would take the money from the rent and put in new carpet or floors. Retile the bathrooms and get ride of the mold. Put in new tubs. Retile kitchen. Invest in furniture that is easy to clean. Make sure staff cleans rooms well. We checked in and there was a wad of someone else’s hair in the shower. Deck was dirty and gross. Air conditioner was on its last leg and needed to be replaced. I had to go to the front desk several times for toilet paper because a new roll wasn’t left for us. Pool was dirty and had NO towels. Water in the pool was dirty and gross, over run by unattended kids. You can hear every sound from outside in your room. Beach area was a mess, sticks and seaweed everywhere. Beach chairs were gross and wet. After 46 years I will be finding a new place to stay. Sick of paying high dollar for a low budget place

By mistake we ended up staying in the right spot in Laguna Beach...Included at the Pacific Edge is the Bar called " The Deck"...and "The Driftwood Inn"...Popular spots. Great Food and Drink...We had short walk down the beach to "Main Beach"...Shopped walking distance from Pacific Edge...Only had 3 days....We'll be Back.

We have been coming to pacific edge for a few years now. You cannot beat the location! Love that our room is literally ON the ocean. Another major plus is the hotel provides beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc...and sets it all up for you! The Deck restaurant is one of our absolute faves and is right on property. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel could use some improvements, but after speaking to management we were assured that this is in the process of happening. We are looking forward to our next visit!

My wife and I recently went to the Pacific Edge Hotel to spend two evenings. The resort is located conveniently close to the main downtown area and everything is within a short walk. The resort is located on the beach side of PCH. A great location! Staff at the property could not have been nicer in helping us get checked in, get settled and answering all of our questions as pleasantly as one could ever expect. Unfortunately, in between our two night stay we had an unfortunate event and needed to leave early the next morning. When we explained our situation to the staff and requested a refund for the second night's stay, they could not have been more accommodating and especially the hotel manager, Josh Brown who went out of his way to help in every way possible. We purchased the two night package through Groupon and Josh not only called us the next morning to see how things were and to follow up but also made a number of calls to assist us in getting our refund back from Groupon. He made calls, sent emails and helped with other follow-ups to Groupon which demonstrated how much he really went out of his way to help us over a fairly lengthy period of time (3 weeks) with numerous efforts extended to help us get our refund. We knew we were in good hands with Mr. Brown and felt like he truly cared about our concerns and went out of his way several times to help us. An extraordinarily polite, kind and pleasant gentleman… The hotel is lucky to have him. Thank you.
