This was our second time staying at Pop Century in the 50’s Section. Our first time we stayed during the renovations in an older model room and it was nice. This past November, since the hotel renovations were completed, our room was remodeled and so much brighter. The beds were bigger and the Murphy bed made extra wall space while in the room. This hotel is closed to the Skyliner which is super convenient to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. The food court was average however very quick and convenient if you wanted to grab a quick bite at the hotel. We mostly resort hopped and ate at the parks. All and all the cast-members that we came in contact with were super friendly and very helpful.

    Very v vacay

Nothing better than staying at a WDW resort We like Pop Century of all the value resorts. We are old timers and love the nostalgia there Lots of laffs. We are of the 60s generation but love staying in the 50s section

Won Over By The Disney Magic

Booked a last-minute trip to Disney, and my first back to the park as an adult traveling with my husband. I was skeptical because I wouldn't consider myself a Disney fanatic, and while we were looking to relax and have fun, I was hoping it wouldn't feel like we were in over our heads with kids and families (though of course they were expected). I was pleasantly surprised from how easy it was to board the --included -- bus to the resort, a seamless check-in process and how genuinely friendly all Disney staff are. I was also concerned that because it was a value resort, we would have subpar rooms or hear construction day and night -- but that couldn't be further from the truth. Our room, in the '70s Decade block, was quiet, recently refurbished, spotlessly clean and with a nice view of the lake. While onsite amenities consisted of family pools, activities and a dining hall, the app made it easy to order food and navigate our way around. The Skyliner is such a wonderful new feature that you can walk to from the resort and take to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. It only adds to the tremendous value of Pop Century, along with the highly organized bus system. (We never had a problem with rideshare pickups from the property, either.) I also like the gift card program, which saves resources and room cleanings (if you don't need them) and instead offers a Disney credit. We took advantage of this, but were still able to request extra blankets when we needed them. Sure, the oversized Disney icons, toys, games and other nostalgic "decade" relics are a bit cheesy but in a good way; it makes it hard to be cynical and signals that you're on vacation and it's OK to not take things that seriously. We were able to squeeze in this trip right before the park shutdown and before COVID-19 became serious in the U.S. and now that we're confined to our homes for endless weeks the memories of our Disney trip, including the hotel, have been cherished more than we realized. I would stay at Pop Century again without a second thought.

Clean, tidy good for budget hotel

The accommodation was clean and neat, uncluttered and updated. That being said it was still a budget hotel. In a way cheesy (yes I know it's a disney resort and catered for kids and family but I still found it cheesy. The way it was done up was over the top and the main pool was closed for refurbishment due to being low season. When we were there, there was some sort of cheerleader thing going on cos there was hundreds blocking the doors to get into the food court area. Food was good and I liked the variety, but after staying for 9 days I did get a bit sick of the same kinda food....not the hotels fault, I think our stay was too long. Staff were fantastic and friendly. Did get a bit frustrated with noises from other rooms next door and above....mainly elephants running around (kids). On the plus side the gondola were such a bonus for staying there and made getting to certain parks so easy, but they don't run early in the mornings so if you want to do early morning admission to parks you will still have to catch the bus. The other thing that irked me was that after very long day at the park, to catch the bus back all the budget resorts were the furthest walk from the park...that did suck. Overall was worth the niggling annoyances to save money and spend in the parks.

We always stay on property but now we have to pay a parking fee. Less and Less perks for staying on property. We will be staying off property with future stays. Pop was updated and the room was clean.
