upon checking in today, was greeted by a long check-in served by a couple of people. one was busy for a long time with a family. When I asked if they can call in someone to help, I was abruptly told "no". Getting ready to sleep, only to find the sofa bed dirty and No covers/pillows. I had to sweep the mattress. I requested bed cover. It's been 45 minutes and waiting...... I don't know how this place gets 4 starts. It's only day one. will NOT come back and I don't recommend anyone does. Disappointing.

It was pretty quiet when we stayed there. The room was very musty-smelling when we came in, we wound up opening the sliding doors to air out the place. The place is dated, but comfortable enough. They give you one roll of TP, one roll of paper towels, one pack of dishwasher powder, etc. Otherwise, the dish ware and other kitchen implements were adequate. There was a jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom, but really no ventilation. I wanted to take a nice bath but it would have steamed up the entire bedroom, causing more musty smells. The master bathroom door was just weird - you were trapped in the bathroom unless you squeeze yourself practically in the shower to get the door to pass the sink cabinet. We also received a late checkout (noon), but apparently nobody told housekeeping, because they knocked on our door several times between 10 and 11:30 when we left. We don’t speak Spanish and she apparently spoke no English, because even though we told her several times that we had a noon checkout she was insistent we leave so she could clean. I don’t know if I would stay there again - it was convenient for our purposes, but with the sales pitches I was like...I could have paid the same for a normal hotel and not been bothered.

Hello! We have been to several Sheraton/Marriott hotels including time shares over the years. This hotel the quality cannot be blamed on covid. It is a gated hotel, and your hotel key opens the gate. We did see security driving around. They do call every morning but we didn’t answer. 9:30 am. The property looks nicely maintained, saw workers gardening. Didn’t see any trash. We just checked out the pool, looked clean, plenty of lounge chairs. We didn’t try restaurant. We stayed in building 10 - 1 st floor rooms. It was 2 bedroom. Master king bedroom with large jetted bathtub in bedroom?! Separate sink which was helpful. 1 dresser, 1 closet with few hangers and safe. The master bathroom was clean, large shower, good water pressure and good hot temp. But the door design was horrible - it was difficult to get in and out of room because bathroom door was about an inch away from sink so you had to jam yourself against the toilet to swing door in and out. Plus the door seemed swelled, very difficult to fully close. They say no room maid service during stay, but you can request anything you want replaced ex towels but we didn’t ask for anything. We washed our own towels mid week. Upon entering unit you do smell a musty odor, you really smell it when you first come into unit. We found air conditioning tricky - either a tad too cold or too warm - couldn’t get sweet spot lol! The kitchen is functional, appeared clean, slightly dated. Coffee maker traditional drip coffee maker, not k cup. Plenty of glasses/mugs. Plates could be more. Hot water kettle. Toaster. Freezer has fast ice maker. Washer/dryer small but functional - they give you 2 powder soaps to start you out with. You have to take out your own garbage to garbage room -not a big deal - they give 3-4 extra garbage bags. The kitchen gives you 2 paper towels, 1 trial hand dish soap, 2 dishwasher soaps. It’s enough to get you started. The dining room/living room was plenty space for family of 6. The couch was pull out, was clean except only pillows and 1 sheet in bag in closet - we had to request more linen and blanket. All sheets/towels in bedrooms/bathrooms were clean and bright, no smells. Outside patio screened in, ceiling fan, clean, view of pond pretty. Table for 4. 2 Nd bedroom 2 double beds - kind of cramped in room, 1 table light for room. 1 dresser, 1 closet. Both bedrooms had table light with usb plugs & extra outlet. The second bathroom was large and clean. Besides the slight musty smell of unit - only gross thing was the carpets - they weren’t stained or soiled appearing but if you walked on them barefoot your feet would be black! They did leave a vacuum in the closet in living room, but I think they needed a good deep shampooing! I wouldn’t walk around without flip flops and no crawling kids/babies! (ewww!) Overall the place was functional, dated, comfortable. Minimum to no services (housekeeping). I’d rather stay in time share resort then hotel with no kitchen/washer/dryer. Beds/linens/towels/bathrooms clean. Carpet - needs deep clean!!

This hotel is ready for some updates. The shower was filled with mold, chunks actually came out when we turned it on. The bathtub--in the middle of the master bedroom surrounded by carpet--wouldn't hold water. Smells like dank, stale cigarettes. Our villa was on the 3rd floor, facing the main pool. Supposedly, the pool closes at 11 p.m. We heard screams like they were in our bedroom until well past midnight. They also don't honor typical Marriot perks, no guaranteed late check out ("We are a timeshare and don't have to honor those requirements" was what I was told at the front desk) We won't be returning to this Sheraton and it makes me question ALL Sheraton properties.

Under Marriott It's Not The Same As It Once Was

This was our first outing since the pandemic started, and it was average at best. We were in a redecorated room which was nice. They are taking the pandemic seriously, and we appreciated that. The update now under Marriott is horrible at best they couldn't care less about you, you are nothing to them but a dollar sign. This is the third property where we felt this and this take over by Marriott has failed terribly. As 5 star elite which is the highest level we're no different from a basic owner and once again all they wanted was to sell us more and give us nothing worthwhile. Solve our problems, nah why go out our their was to help or be nice.
