The Saguaro Palm Springs

$40 daily service charge, while both hot tubs dont work. No daily house cleaning. Carpets stained. IKEA furniture throughout. Restaurant was good, but very limited menu and extremely slow service. Drinks at pool were $14 plus, and watered down. They don’t follow Covid rules, although they say they do. Pool scene is no masks at all. And to top this off, my friend next door came home with scabbies...cool spot for pics. But not worth the money or the risks. And when we called the hotel about the scabies...all they said is we will call an exterminator. Hello!!! Dump the mattress. Don’t stay in room 362!!!!!!!!!!

The vibe of this place is very fun. Great pool, fun little hotel restaurant and quirky little touches. But, I was surprised to see extra fees made the cost of the already expensive stay over $700 more.

I just wanted to lay out by the pool on a beautiful day. Walked down to the pool and it was so packed with people that I couldn’t find a chair. No one around the pool were wearing masks, it didn’t feel right so I went back to my room. The room itself was fine, comfortable bed though. The only thing was that when I pulled the covers off, I found blood stains on the bed sheets. That was concerning.

Really cute lobby and pool/restaurant area! The rooms were large but sparsely furnished. We had the Mountain View room with the two queens and we noticed that the mattresses were on box springs that didn’t have sheets on them. One of our biggest complaints though was the overcrowded pool. We were hoping to spend some time at the pool, but it was rather small for how large the hotel is and no rules about how long people can stay or enforcing social distancing. People were basically on top of each other and not super friendly when we tried to snag a spot. It’s a nice place to stay with friendly staff and nice renovations, but if you’re looking for a chill poolside to hang out in, you’ll be hard pressed to even find a spot to sit down.

Great refresh to an old hotel that is exciting and hip. Big, spacious lobby. Lots of free parking. Pool and grounds are what makes this hotel a great place to stay. Awesome food and great cocktails. Bed was soft and sheets/towels very fresh and clean. Here come the issues: rooms are starting to have some considerable wear-n-tear. The nightstands and desk were disgusting with stains. Unfortunately, this hotel draws a younger (grossly inconsiderate) crowd of self-absorbed party-clowns. We noticed people just throwing their garbage on the grounds and in hallways. I feel bad for the staff who try really hard to make this place wonderful. Pool chairs are snatched up immediately in the morning by people throwing their junk and towels of them, then leaving for hours. Security is constantly barking at them. I will say, if you want to watch some massive self-absorbed 'oh look at me' egos, this is the place. It's a big party hotel. Good luck getting a good night sleep with people having a loud party in their room well beyond 3AM. I left so dissapointed and exhausted. Be warned of all the extra taxes and added resort fees when you check out. Extra $38 resort fee each night. Rooms are jacked up in price over the weekend. They also put an extra charge of several hundred $$ on CC in advance for any food charged to the room. The restaurant has delicious food but the wait staff, although super friendly, is sloooooooow. If you like cheap, crusty, littered ultra-trendy, you will LOVE this colorful trashcan hotel. Never again.
