    Great job during a pandemic.

    I am sitting on the beach on my last day of my 5 day visit. I can’t say enough good things. When we arrived, we were seated at a table and check in was done from there. All employees were masked the entire time. Service was great everywhere. Food at the buffet was done in two ways. Fruit, bread, salad, sandwiches were served on individual plates that you could just grab. Salad and Buffett items had to be served. Heard some people complain. You’re on vacation! Relax and be patient and you will get your food. Lots of repeats on food selections but enough variety to meet everyone’s needs. Service on the beach was great. Sometimes we had waitress bring us drinks and other times we went to the bar ourselves. Tip some pesos. These people work hard. Room very clean each day. Be sure to bring an insulted cup if you want coffee to go or ice water on hand at the beach/ pool. COVID testing was set up for us the day before departure. You can pick up paper copies at the front desk. Overall a great experience during this crazy time.

    I brought my mother and daughter to Iberostar Toucan, knowing of the challenges involved with traveling with a teenage girl hankering to meet up with her boyfriend along with a mobility disabled mother. One such challenge occurred this morning: my mom was having joint pain and decided it was best not to leave our beautiful oceanfront room. I walked through the jungle walkways to the buffet, unsure of how to get food to my mom who was comfortably enjoying the beachfront porch. I mentioned this to the staff, and like a caring sister, Yareli appeared to my table and took care of all of the details. I prepared a plate for the mom at the buffet and Yareli arranged for Juan to take the plate by cart to my mom. Yareli took my quandary seriously and handled the situation with empowered style. Thank you Iberostar Tucan for bringing such intelligent, motivated and caring individuals on board. Thanks to the gracious style that I’ve encountered from each of the Iberostar team members, from concierge to housekeepers to cart transport and now including managers, my vacation here has been relaxing and care free.     Tons of fun activities. All meals are amazing! Everyone is so sweet and helpful! Entertainment team is amazing! Mr flowers, yomi, kiko, christopher, fer. You get great service and have so many things during the day to do! Also the star camp is amazing! Kids are always safe and are having fun

    This was our second time in this resort. We came back because we loved it back in 2019, the first time we stayed there right before the pandemic. The resort is beautiful, we loved all the wild animals on the premises and the property was very well maintained. We expected the same level of service and were disappointed. Some restaurants are closed, the buffet is not self-service anymore due to new Covid related precautions. This only creates long lines and everybody is crowded in a small space. The beach is all covered in seaweed and nobody cleans it, although the hotels on both sides remove the seaweed. And last but not least are beds, I felt like I was tortured every night sleeping on those beds and pillows. On the other side the staff is very friendly and the weather was amazing.
