Stayed here because we had a gift certificate. $1000 CDN not enough for 2 nights. Very nice hotel. Quiet. Small rooms (ours was anyway). Staff were awesome - very friendly and helpful. Wish we had time to use pool and all facilities.

Excellent choice for comfort, customer service, dining choices

We stayed here to visit our daughter who’d recently moved to the area. The accommodations are very comfortable and customer service folks are very friendly and very helpful. Jessica Fong was particularly helpful, she left a personalized welcome note for us and saw that we were welcomed with a lovely cheese board in our room two nights! The teas and coffee selections in the room are so nice since we prefer to lounge a bit in the morning before getting a full breakfast. We did enjoy cocktails and a burger in the lobby restaurant and a wonderful breakfast in the other restaurant on-site.

    Pre-Thanksgiving stop-over

We spent one night at the Claremont on our way to meet family in the city. Sentimental visit as we spent 9 years in Berkeley while 2 kids attended the University. Always loved it but the hotel was past its prime in many ways. As a Travel Advisor, I was anxious to see what the Fairmont had done with this fantastically situated historic property in the Berkeley Hills with a view of the entire San Francisco Bay, City, and Bridges. Well, they did a fantastic job!!! It was opened up, the view again visible from almost everywhere. Large open gathering places that were tasteful and served drinks and food after 5 wherever you wanted to sit in 2 large living/den type rooms. So friendly, helpful, delicious! Restaurant is casual yet nice with fresh menu. Overall a great revisualization of a classic and historic property!

We only got to stay 1 night traveling home to Nashville from Hawaii. The hotel is beautiful and the service impeccable! Breakfast was yummy and there is an awesome spa that you can use the amenities if you’re a hotel guest. We can’t wait to come back!! ??

We enjoyed the stay. It is worth the experience to stay and enjoy the fine quality of setting, services, rooms, fine dining and views. It’s spas, tennis courts and swimming pools (both indoor and outdoor) make this a great weekend retreat.
