Meh

karens_24 (Toronto, Canada) on Apr 19, 2024

I stayed here recently. Keep in mind my room selection was basic (no upgrade). Reception: check in was smooth. The rum punch welcome drink was nice. Rooms: very dated. Didn’t like. Not clean at all. I wouldn’t pick this room again and I am unsure if other rooms are similar? Pool/hot tub: great. Loved the pool lights at night. Location: amazing. Perfect location. Breakfast: basic but I expected that (toast, waffles, cereal, sausage, pancakes, boiled eggs- it varies). Liked that water was available all the time. All in all, probably wouldn’t stay in that room selection and would be curious to know if other rooms were like that. I don’t mind dated but only if it was clean.

Good alternative to overpriced Grace Bay hotels

lukemP94CC on Apr 17, 2024

It has all been said before, but this is a good option for those unwilling to pay extortionate rates for the fancier hotels. You pay substantially less for having to walk less than 10 minutes to the beach (or take the free shuttle). There are free designated loungers on the beach for Ports of Call guests. Or just stay by the pool. Room was clean and spacious and quite adequate. N.B. no elevator to the third floor, if that is an issue for you. Breakfast was nothing special but, again, quite adequate. Hot dishes (eggs, sausages) evey other day, but cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, pastries, etc, every day, and tea, coffee and water available all day. The constant music was a bit annoying, but you seem to get that at all Caribbean hotels, and it wasn't too loud.

Loved my solo stay at Ports of Call

JayFurr (Richmond, Vermont) on Apr 15, 2024

I was very very pleased with the resort. It had all the amenities of a larger resort but was much less expensive. The beach services had everything I was looking for and I found I didn't even need the shuttle as the beach was so close. The staff were super friendly. The pool, bar, and common area were welcoming and a mellow place to relax. I would definitely come to Ports of Call again and look forward to bringing my wife. I loved the Skull Rock Cantina restaurant as well. Terrific food and drinks.

Great hotel, will definitely stay here again

karriei (Grand Island, New York) on Apr 12, 2024

What a great hotel! The place is extremely clean, staff are friendly and helpful. They offer a nice breakfast each morning, and cold water all day. Bar is onsite. Restaurants within a 5 minute walk and the beach is across the street. A shuttle is offered if you cannot walk. The pool and hot tub were really nice. Hammocks were peaceful to enjoy. Bbq available to use. Suggest getting a room with a kitchenette as restaurant food is very expensive. Not related to the hotel, but general travel in the area: Also grab whatever beer or wine you like and mix your own drinks. Unless it is happy hour, drinks are also very pricey.

Clean rooms, super comfortable beds, friendly staff, great location, delicious coffee! Ports of Call never dissapoints. There’s plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Have been back a few times and it’s always a great experience.
