Indian Wells offers players a genuine Palm Springs resort experience that's a part of Hollywood tradition and just minutes from the Palm Springs International Airport.
This golf resort was once a staple of early made-for-TV golf matches on shows like Challenge Golf. It is a fully public 36-hole facility and a fixture on Golfweek magazine's Top 20 Best Courses You Can Play list in California.
There are two 18-hole courses to choose from here. Clive Clark's Celebrity Course, host of the LG Skins Game in 2007 and 2008, is a desert course framed by wastelands, cacti and water. It features more than its fair share of mountain views, but at just over 7,000 yards, it doesn't overpower the shorter hitter from the forward tees.
The Players Course, designed by John Fought has an old-world feel despite the fact it was built just four years ago. There is dramatic flash bunkering, generous landing areas and difficult greens, to say nothing of 7,376 yards from the "cabernet" tees.
Green fees for either course range depending on the time of year. Callaway club rentals and shoe rentals are available.
