Loved it!

First time to Aruba and had a great stay at the Hyatt. My daughter loved the pools and water slide. The parrots that live on the property were my daughter’s favorite daily activity to visit on the way to the pools. Also, Giovanni was so patient with letting us feed the parrots and answer all of our questions. We will definitely stay here again when we return.
Good large family hotel, avoid visiting in January if you want a relaxing vibe.

There are pros and cons to the Hyatt Regency Aruba. I think if you are a family and looking for a great family pool and beach access this place is a good fit. It is also within walking distance to shops and local restaurants. Rooms were nice, but just your typical room. We had club access and that just makes everything a little easier particularly if you have kids. All staff at check-in, valet, club and bar were friendly and helpful. Staff were the highlight to me of my visit! Cons: We were there in January. I won't do that again. The Hyatt is now catering to Hell Week visitors. During the day, the group seemed fine. At night it was super loud from inside our room from the bar crowds at the outside bars. The adult pool looks great from the photos. However it is nothing special as it's super narrow and the cabanas are looking at the pool deck and building. The family pool is much nicer and more aesthetic! The gym also needs to be upgraded, but you can always go be active on the beautiful island of Aruba! I went to the Hyatt for a relaxing couple's getaway. It wasn't a good fit for me, but may be for you!
Aruba Sewage Issues
Brian K (Bellmore, New York) on Mar 23, 2024
We have been to Aruba over 40 times. It was very disheartening to discover that the ongoing sewage treatment plant problems have reached the beaches. The Hyatt staff told us that the smell was due to previous storms in Venezuela and rotting seaweed. It wasn't until open of our friends, a restaurant owner, informed us of the problem, I am now concerned that it could affect the health of visitors. We are not planning on returning to our HAPPY PLACE due to the stench.
Great time!

As I sit and enjoy my last full day at the Hyatt I thought I would share my experience. First this is my third stay at the Hyatt, loved it each time. Every single person that works here is extremely friendly, helpful and kind. My room this time was not my favorite but overall clean and not bad. The beach is amazing and we were very happy. The only complaint about the beach is that today lots of locals or non hotel guests are on the beach using the empty palapas and umbrellas. Not terrible just really takes away from the peace and quiet. Maybe I’m annoyed that I had to pay not sure but it’s definitely very loud today. Finally ate at the Ruins last night and it was only ok, definitely will skip next year.
