    Best Location in Curacao!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was our first time in Curacao. We rented a car to explore the island and I have to say, the location of this resort is perfection. The beach and resort flow right into Mambo Beach, which is a long expanse of restaurants & shops right on the beach with a plethora of beach chairs & cabanas. We really enjoyed the restaurants both at the resort and at mambo beach, and there were so many to choose from that we couldn't possibly try them all! Many of the restaurants were right on the beach or on the second story of mambo beach, where the patio overlooks the beach/ocean. Our room overlooked the beach with a nice patio, and we had two comfortable queen beds. We had asked for a king, but we were fine with the two queens as well. There was a small fridge in our unit, a small closet to hang clothes, and a tall cabinet and drawers to put belongings and other clothes in. The staff were nice and accommodating, and many of the restaurant staff around the resort were Dutch interns. We were actually surprised that as Americans we were the odd ones out, but what a cool experience to be surrounded by so many people speaking Dutch and Papiamentu. We loved our honeymoon and can't recommend Curacao enough, especially this resort. This is a great place to stay on the island!!

This hotel is located perfectly on the beach as well as next to all the beach clubs and shops. As other travelers explained, there are some nights the music is very loud, but we didn’t seem to have any problems. We stayed in a 2 bedroom that had plenty of space for us. Although, the 1 shower is VERY small, made for some great laughs LOL. The bfast buffet at Hemingway’s was pretty bad, barely any options but that would be our only complaint. Overall, I would deff stay again. You literally don’t have to leave this area bc everything is located on this strip.

Nice hotel with amazing beach, mediocre food.

The hotel grounds are beautiful and well kept. The room was nice enough, although our shower was not renovated like some we saw in similar rooms. The best part of this hotel are the beaches, There are 2 areas, one is a shallow pool-like area that becomes mambo beach on one side, the other one is more rocky but you can snorkel and see some good fish. The ocean is warm and crystal clear and there are fish even at ankle depth. The size of the hotel is perfect, big enough that there are 2 pool areas, 2 beaches, 4 restaurants, but somehow everything is close enough that you don't feel like we have to walk too long to get from one side to the other. The location is great, 30 min from airport, next to the aquarium on one side and mambo beach on the other. Mambo beach gets crowded with the cruise people and roudy on weekend nights, but it wasn't a problem where our room was, and the advantage is that there are restaurants on mambo, which are a good alternative to the hotel food, which brings me to the bad: With the exception of Nemo (their fine dining option) the food in the hotel was pretty bad, especially for the price. The quality of the breakfast buffet is comparable to an all-inclusive, however you get charged $18/person with no discount for kids, and it's the only bfast option in the hotel, a huge rip-off. I recommend not signing up for this in advance, there is a better buffet (and kids pay half) in Cabana, on the other side of mambo beach. The hotel staff was ok, not the most sympathetic when our door was broken 2 days in a row or they didn't change the sheets after my daughter wet the bed. No apologies, no big smiles, just lukewarm responses. In general we really liked the hotel though and would come back.

My husband and I with our 8yo stayed in the bedroom suite with a sea view. He’s a big diver and the on-site dive shop was perfect. We are also next door to the aquarium and got to swim with the dolphins. We normally stay at 5 star places but we would come back. The beach was super calm and perfect—we never needed the pool which I appreciate as I’m more or a beach person. They have a lap pool in addition to a baby pool and a regular pool (located separately than the other 2). The food is ok, but we found some great places for coffee/breakfast/lunch/dinner, including Number 10 (oat milk capp & gf items!), Kome, Fishalicious and a new Michelin starred chefs from Amsterdam, Nultwintig. We didn’t rent a car but you prob should. Bring soap, shampoo/conditioner, moisturizer, etc. Great kitchen w espresso machine, LR, terrace overlooking beautiful turquoise blue beach. WiFi is ok. Nemo is their high end restaurant but nothing had flavor. Breakfast at Hemingway’s was ok—they had great pancakes and would make you omelettes but service was ok at best. But the location is incredible; IG heaven! Piazza and the Chill grill had good salads & frozen cappuccino’s. Piazza had great service. Everyplace else is slow—on island time! Loud music kept me up until midnight but never affected my husband or daughter. On the Mambo Beach strip which is ok. Restaurants are all touristy there. By the way, cabs are expensive and do not take credit cards!
