the rooms were well kept and very clean, the staff both at the front desk , room service, cleaning staff, and all staff at the bars and cafes were very pleasant the drinks were sub standard , there is virtually no swimming on the beach because of the waves,

My experience at this all-inclusive resort was incredibly disappointing. Upon arrival, we found only two beers in the fridge, which were never restocked throughout our stay. Similarly, the coffee supplies were never replenished. Additionally, the sink taps were leaking, adding to the discomfort. The entire resort was unkempt, with smudged fingerprints on every glass surface that remained uncleaned for the duration of our visit. Within just two days, three of my friends were drugged at the swim-up bar, and gastrointestinal issues plagued us, as well as many other Canadian guests we spoke to. The majority of the staff were incredibly rude. We were even denied entry to the à la carte restaurant because one of our friends didn't have a button-up shirt, and the resort was stingy with water. The pool closure due to a child vomiting and restricted ocean swimming added to the frustration. Locals staring at us in the pool only heightened our discomfort. Overall, it was a chaotic and unpleasant experience, and we have no intention of returning.

Beautiful location & great staff. Not great food, and all 7 of us got sick shortly after arriving. (Still dealing with the aftermath). We were very cautious about what we ate and still ended up sick. I see the resort saying that food/water has been tested and is in “normal parameters” but obviously that’s not good enough if everyone is getting sick? We won’t return.

If it was just for the staffs I would have given them a 5 stars. Marcelo and Victor were so Kind. We hang out with them mostly since we stayed at the sunclub a lot. Ana Benito Alfredo Maguerito are amazing and caring staffs. Nadiaaaaa my girl nadia Vanilla coffee is the best and when she wasn't there the taste wasn't the same. The beach isnt a calm. If you looking for calm no wave this is not the place. I think Zihua beaches are calmer. On the sad note the food was so bad. I was expecting better I don't know what happen that week maybe the people in the kitchen were tired because it was busy the week before. But a lot of people got sick. When I say a lot im not exaggerating. My friend and I travelled a lot and this was the first time this happen to us. We barely ate. We were so afraid of being sick again. We ate bread and fries. The best food I ate was at the airport during my whole stay. I'm not picky with my food but they definitely drop the ball on this one. Would i recommend it?? No You need to be able to enjoy your food when you go on vacation.

Sunscape is a wonderful hotel in Ixtapa. Hotel and grounds are clean. Staff is friendly. We upgraded to SunClub and were pleased with the ocean view room, and upgraded amenities. Marcelo the bartender at the sun club lounge was amazing- try the chocolate martinis!!!! Entertainment team members were great! Loved the "Soul of Mexico" entertainment night. The bike tours led by the entertainment members are a must do!! We rode to Playa Linda and the Marina. The hotel is gated- we felt safe, and also walked across the street to the market for souvenir shopping.
