Beautifully renovated rooms in the Napili tower were spacious and smartly designed with luggage storage space under the foot of the bed, motion sensing lights under beds and under vanity, plenty of mirror and counter space for a mom with two teen girls. Lovely balcony with gorgeous view. All staff were friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, while giving guests space. Entire hotel was spotlessly clean. Wish that the hours of operation of coffee bar and shops were extended.

Beautiful grounds and room. We had a partial ocean view room which was actually mostly ocean view. It has been renovated so there’s some great updated features.... the bed lights up at night if you get up to use the restroom, floor light comes on as you enter, click in the mirror( all nice features if you’re up during the night). Unfortunately, the hot tub wasn’t in use, which was a bummer. It was chilly our first few nights do would have been fun to use. Also, the grotto bar wasn’t in use either. The pool was quite busy so we used the beach instead. The workout facility was nice, just a little tricky to find. It’s kind of far away. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are cleaned each day with additional towels. Overall, a great place to stay.

We were celebrating the birth of our new baby on this trip and the hotel was a great place for our 2-year-old and 3-month-old not to enjoy themselves. The staff left and adorable welcome note for the newest addition to our "Ohana" and they even provided us with a real crib as opposed to the typical pack and play that even many luxury hotels condescend to use. I loved the fact that they even treated our children as valued guests. The children's pool area is also one of, if not the best in the area for very young children to splash around. There are multiple pools of varying depths, even toddler friendly, and in addition to a water slide that was fun for us adults to use, there was a smaller slide perfect for our toddler as well. My only criticisms are that the hotel front desk was understaffed when we checked in and they were out of leis and did not provide the typical welcome drink. (I think COVID may have been used as some excuse for this, But they still could have done better to accommodate such as by providing credit for one glass of champagne at the bar or a poolside drink). Also all of the birds on the property are gorgeous and a lot of fun, and it would have been nice if the parrots or kept out for more than just a couple hours each day. Back to the compliments, The view from our oceanfront room was perfect for watching sunset and we especially appreciated the window-style enclosure of the Lanai so that even our toddler could safely enjoy the view.

We were largely satisfied with our stay but recognize things are not perfect right now. April seems incredibly busy and there is a huge influx of tourists (like us) who have been delaying vacations for a long time. The problem resorts face is not enough pool chairs and restaurant tables to accommodate the guests who largely want to eat and swim at the same time. This problem existed pre-COVID in Maui but is worse now. All pool chairs are spoken for by 7:45 am, which is something we just anticipated and worked around. I was up early and just got my chairs and read by the pool in the morning. Luckily I booked dinner reservations weeks ahead of time otherwise would have been disappointed by the lack of options. Hotel service - front desk was great. No lines and very helpful. Pool service - really great if you go up to the bar or rent a cabana. Terrible if you have a regular pool chair and put your flag up. Not enough servers for the demand. Shave ice is always a super long line and credit card only. Coffee situation needs to get sorted out. The one and only coffee shop on premises has a ridiculous line every morning and even the mobile ordering option was often over an hour wait or not accepting orders. Free drip coffee in the lobby would be a nice touch, I wish it were offered, especially since the coffee packets are not always replenished in the rooms. Food- great pool fare at Umalu. Poke nachos are the best. Had two lovely dinners at Japengo- highly recommend for the ambience and sushi. Swan Court was a total zoo for breakfast. Just don’t. Go to Safeway and get fruit and cereal and a bottle of cold brew for the room and save yourself the frustration in the mornings. Free water bottles and ice water dispensers were a nice touch. Rooms- ocean front is a must. The views are amazing and the ocean sound cannot be beat. The interiors are updated and have nice features like auto night lights when you step out of bed. Pool- huge and super fun water slide and water falls. Pool desk will inflate float toys for you even if you bring them from home. Beach- somewhat narrow but lots of turtles seen swimming in front of resort. Bring water shoes. Walk either direction for bigger waves or more sand. Wonderful beach walk that goes for miles along the water.

My kids ages 7 and 8 had a blast! We felt safe and hotel was very clean. Dining Reservations were my only complaint, so book your reservations now! Thank you for the wonderful experience and will definitely recommend.
