5 Sept days in Maui 2019

This location is about 14 miles ( 20 to 25 mins) from the airport, in a very nice subdivision 1 mile from the main beach. an upscale facility with very well maintained grounds, pool, and reception area. On a sloping hill overlooking a part of the large bay and setting sun as viewed from the Pool area. Up to date furniture, facilities, Feels like and may be individual owners. The interior of our unit was upscale and very clean, with clothes washer and dryer, kitchen, micro etc.very spacious. Only draw back that affected us was the design and layout of the second bedroom. It was designed with four louvered doors that opened up into the family room. It lacked individual quietness due to the louvered doors that could not shut out the noise from the recreation room. Therefore everyone had to shut down to suit the occupant of that room. Same thing in the morning...had to tippy-toe to avoid waking others...frustrating! 10 minute drive to "Foodland" and the central beach area. Could be a "5" star but I like to sleep and not disturb others. I like to be able to make a little noice in the morning cooking breakfast.
Terrific condo and location

This was our 4th stay at the Palms. The first time was in 2005. The condos are very spacious and clean with all the amenities you need for Hawaii. Most units have beach chairs, an umbrella and a boogie board. There is no daily housekeeping but with a dishwasher and washer and dryer in the unit we did not miss it. We stayed a week and for longer stays it would be nice to have housekeeping at least once. The location is terrific within walking distance of the shops at Wailea, Kihei and a number of beaches.
Nice but bland

Nice property but bland. Bugs in spite of fumigation (ants got the bread and little tiny black bugs in the bathroom sink). Very pretty landscaping, no beach frontage, excessive junk fees with two separate taxes on cleaning fees, extra charge for air conditioning in 90 degree heat. Well stocked with dishes, bedding, games, television sets, swimming pool.
Great view and staff

I stayed for 4 nights with my grandmother, aunt, and uncle. There was plenty of room for all of us. Amazing view from the balcony! The pool was nice and never too crowded. The property was within (less than a mile) walking distance from shopping and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again!
Wonderful Stay with Family

We stayed at the Palms Wailea from August 10th - 20th, 2019 during a big family vacation. There were 12 travellers all together and we stayed in three separate condos. They were all clean and spacious. Our condo was 203, ground level, and could use a little bit of upgrading but they were functional, clean and served the purpose for our trip. We loved that our condo was right across from the pool though we didn't love the view of the parking lot from our lanai. But we survived ;) We had a two bedroom condo - master had a bed and bathroom of its own; other bedroom had two twins; and the living room had a pull out couch which we utilized. A/C only in master bedroom; a ton of fans in the living room and other bedroom though. The condo comes with a ton of stuff you'll need - so NO need to pack a hairdryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need - appliances, coffee maker, coffee, filters, dishwasher, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, cooking utensils, pots pans, etc. Every condo has their own BBQ out on the lanai. Wonderful! The condo also came with a couple small packages of laundry soap, but if you plan to do more than a couple loads of laundry, you may need to purchase a bit more. There was also enough toilet paper to last our family of 5 ten days. All you really need to purchase once you are there is food and mai tai ingredients :) The condo also came with three boogie boards, two beach chairs, and a beach umbrella which we used every day of our trip. So awesome to have those! The condo grounds are immaculate! The staff puts alot of time and attention into this property and it shows. The pool was awesome and clean. We never had trouble getting chairs around the pool for all of us no matter what time of day we went. They are very strict about beverages by the pool and they must be consumed in the sitting area just behind the pool area. There is a huge grass area just off the pool area that is a great location to watch the sunset over the ocean. Take your camera! There is also a viewing area over the lobby of the resort/pool area that is also a lovely location to watch the sunset. The beach is fairly close - would be a long jaunt to walk it (and back, as the condo is up a huge hill from the beach) but doable if not carrying beach chairs, a cooler, etc. We drove every day and beach II was our favorite especialy with all the kids. We'd usually got to the beach by 8:00 each morning and parking was easy to find. After that, it's a little more challenging. It gets very windy later in the morning; but calm until 11:30 ish. You definately need a car to get around in Maui if you want to venture to further beaches or go site seeing. If my ventures take me to Maui in the future, I would definately stay here again. Lovely stay for a big family vacay. Giving this a 4 out of 5 stars, as the rooms could use some updating and a little TLC.
