Beautiful resort all inclusive, food was good, great selections, show was entertaining, staff were all friendly, polite, helpful. Love al the nature on the property and beach front was amazing. Pool was fun with pool bar, bartenders were fun but professionally and responsible. Met Erik Garcia on the beach and he got our one day private tour taking care off. He asked us what we want to see and how the trip can be planned. Driver added a few interest points to the trip as well. Spotted monkeys and sloths in their natural habitats just hanging out in trees off the roads. Gift store that we got all our souvenirs at, with ice cream next door, etc. It was a great experience.

I wound out enjoying my time here quite a bit. Costa Rica is easy to love as their people are beautiful people and the people at the Westin are no exception. We stayed in the adults only Royal Beach club which has its own concierge, lounge/reception and pool. The royal beach club pool was one of the most amazing resort pool areas I've ever seen. Swim up bar and pool-side service and plenty of seating. Very quiet and felt quite empty honestly. The photographers they have there were fun to work with and worth the money. The food here is hit or miss which I expected at an all inclusive. The room service was decent and on par with the average hotel room service. I didn't like Bamboo, Manglar or Spirulas. Fainsella was the best restaurant we tried. We skipped the lobby bistro and the rodizio place The Mitra buffet was quite blah in my opinion but I may be a tougher critic than most. You have to hit the beach area for 20 dollar massages, souvenir shopping and most importantly to see Erik Garcia to plan all your tours and transportation. We planned ATVs, waverunners, boat and land tours with Erik and I'll tell you i wish this guy was at every resort I visit. I found it hard to say anything negative about this property as the thing I will remember most is the great service and people.

Wonderful golf course! We played as visiting guests. Course condition was excellent! Wide selection of tees for range of skill levels! Staff was courteous and professional. Golf course is challenging but very receptive to errant shots! Rolling terrain provides additional challenges. Nice vistas but only one hole has beach visibility . I would recommend this course.

Group of over 500 of us here at the same time. No check in problems or dinner reservation problems. Everything was great and the people are very friendly. Would come back here again. Own family area so didn’t really notice kids.

Overall fantastic experience at the Westin Playa Conchal for my wife and I over 5 nights. Arrived on New Year's Eve in the afternoon. Great check-in experience. Recognized immediately for Titanium Elite status and received both a room upgrade (closer to restaurants and activities) and an access wristband to the Royal Club facilities. The party and fireworks for NYE was an impressive way to start our stay that night. Spent a few days figuring out the routine that worked best for us and our favorite places and activities, but these are the highlights: - buffet breakfast at Mitra is quick, easy, and good. Great made-to-order omelettes from one of two stations - Stand up paddleboards or kayaks (free for 1 hr) right when the kiosk opens at 8am. Calm water and no boat traffic. - Great gym, never crowded. Nice spin bikes to use with peloton app if you are into that sort of thing. - Favorite lunch spot was Spirula. Caprese salad and antipasto are amazing. Great pizzas. - They have some afternoon activities but we never participated, mostly napped, caught up on emails, or relaxed by the adults only Royal Beach Club pool. - Favorite dinner spot was Manglar. Two favorite dishes there were the lobster ravioli and the scallop dish. MAKE RESERVATIONS BEFORE YOU ARRIVE!!! - Nightly entertainment (normally 830 start) varied from fun/good to absolutely must see. If they have the fire show while you are there (Pyro?), definitely go. Wouldn't hesitate to return to this property again!
