Very poor customer service. Arrived after traveling all day with our two year old and told our room wouldn’t be ready until 4 or 5 o’clock even though I notified of our arrival time at 1 (and we didn’t get here til nearly 3) and titanium status is apparently meaningless. It is now after 5 and we’ve been told there are people in our room until 9pm and they are sold out so nothing they can do and they don’t seem to care. Definitely not a family friendly or customer service oriented hotel.

    Now a Sheraton

This Sheraton recently was renovated (formerly a Marriott Courtyard) and the resort is very comfortable. The pool area is very nice with 2 pools, a large hot tub, and plenty of umbrellas! Lounge chairs, hammocks and umbrellas are also available on the beach. There is a daily resort fee ($20) but unlike many hotels includes self-parking. Bike rentals, morning wellness beach yoga sessions, fitness center & WiFi are also included in resort fee. Coin operated laundry is available and detergent can be purchased in the lobby. We enjoyed our stay and the location was convenient. Having a Longs across the street was convenient. Helpful & friendly staff. A quick response within 10 minutes to a slow draining tub was greatly appreciated! Also appreciated the convenience of many outlets & USB ports in the room. We’d consider returning.

Entrance is open, airy, welcoming and just what you would want when arriving to paradise. Staff very pleasant and helpful. I'm an upper level Marriott Rewards so was offered free breakfast (hearty foods and omelet station). Infinity pool. Pretty beach with lovely coarse sand (I loved it, felt like you were getting a spa treatment, it does not hurt your feet, lol). Has a reef in the water. Beautiful views. Sunrise is spectacular. About a dozen umbrella with lounge chairs and a few hammocks on the beach. Not crowded. Pool has enough seating lounge chairs and comfy lounge areas. Music playing. Bar. Hot tub. Area for kids. They offer Luau 2 nights a week. Didn't go but stopped in and it looked great. Laid back property. Walking distance to shops and a few restaurants (not fancy). I would come back here in a heartbeat. The room was nice, clean and had a view. Perfect. Carpet around the bed, but everywhere else tile. Little fridge for a few snacks. Good closet space. Big TV. At night flames around the pool and gas fire pits with living room lounge furniture. Ok. Now. Bring toiletries as the shampoo, conditioner, lotion are not what I would consider good. As long as you know in advance, it's fine. Aloha Spirit.

We stayed at the newly renovated Sheraton Coconut Beach Resort (formerly Courtyard Marriott Kapaa), and we had a great experience. Faith at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the new pool...2 levels, lower level great for smaller children, upper level was relaxing. They provided bean bag floaties that were very relaxing! The hot tub is spacious and jets are strong. It was nice to transition from day to night at the pool, the torches and fire pits were awesome. Pool side service surpassed sunset time and we were able to have dinner poolside with a server, bonus! I like how they brought the poolside bar out from the building it is now ocean front! TVs there, great place for football Sunday. The rooms felt more modern than the past, I like the theme they are going with , the ocean wall paper was fun....comfortable beds. About the area: Longs/CVS is right across the way in walking distance. You can also walk to Coconut Marketplace, as well as other shopping areas including Safeway for a grocery store. There's also a bike path out in front. *Note: There's another Sheraton on island, in Poipu....so be sure to head to the right one. Kapaa is East of the island :)

We stayed here for one night prior to a week stay at another location. We weren’t able to use the brand new pool due to the heavy rains that evening but did enjoy the location for walking distance to Coconut Market Place and one of our favorite restaurants on the island. I found out how popular watching the sunrise is on this beach when my girlfriend and I got up before dawn to watch the sunrise and for a surprise proposal when I started noticing how may people starting showing up and some even chanting!
