My sister and I was warmly greet and for the most part the staff was friendly except for when my sister and I decided not to do the club membership tour. Maria and the lobby staff didn’t greet us any more and called my room and cellphone continuously even after I canceled. I had to tell them that it was borderline harassment to continue to call me about something I already canceled. The other issue was the hotel taxi service is overly priced so we opted for Uber and the staff didn’t like that. They told us Uber couldn’t come to the lobby or the hotel and made us take a $10 taxi to the front of the resort which was a lie. Our Uber drove to the lobby while we were at the front of the resort. Other than that hospitality and the other staff was amazing. Despite the lobby staff and Maria not saying goodbye and not being friendly anymore my sister and I still enjoyed our stayed.

eaving the resort today after a wonderful week with family. Our spring break 2020 trip was cancelled due to Covid so this was our re-do and it was worth the wait. This was our first time in Cabo and we will be back! Here’s what we loved: Layout-the resort is built into rock so almost every room provides a true ocean view (Sea of Cortez actually); Cleanliness-the resort was very clean and our room was thoroughly cleaned each day. Staff wore masks the entire time and I never saw anyone without one. With all of the restaurants opening windows to the outside, I never felt worried about Covid. I felt very safe. Food options-we never felt like we needed to eat outside the resort although we did go to town one day. We loved the Rosato and Blu for dinner and there were so many options for lunch. Sometimes we ate lunch poolside and other days we ate at an outdoor restaurant with a view of the beach and waves. Breakfast was typically at the buffet. Drinks-plentiful at the pool, beach, and the lobby bar. Our mini fridge was stocked each day. Staff-very nice and friendly. Everyone says hello and is approachable. Shout out to Carlo at Blu who was wonderful and so nice. We were also impressed with Mirna at the lobby bar. She was so sweet and anticipated our needs. Alejandro who spoke with us at the pool was fantastic as well. Entertainment-check out the fire pit for live music at night. Shuttle to downtown-there is an hourly shuttle and the round trip charge is $12 per person. Very convenient. It picks up at the resort. And you pay the driver directly. You are dropped off at a mall that backs up to the marina. Pickups are on the half hour several times a day. They give you a schedule. Some things to know: The beach is not fine sand. It is more fine rounded rocks. I liked it as you could walk on it and it didn’t leave sand all over your feet but some might like the ‘sand in all your crevices” feeling more. While you can go in the water at the edge of the beach, it really isn’t swimmable as the waves are strong and there are large rocks in the water. Again, not an issue for me as I typically only like to get my feet wet. There is beauty in the rocks so I enjoyed sitting under a hut and watching the waves and listening to the sounds. Due to Covid, the spa did not allow massages in closed rooms. Instead, I enjoyed one in a cabana on the beach. It was the best massage I ever had! Silver linings! Also Covid related, the buffet was not allowing guests to serve themselves rather, employees placed the food on plates or food was pre-wrapped. This was fine by me and I imagine less food goes to waste. Covid testing-we made appointments when we checked in. Testing is done at the medical center past the spa, down a flight of stairs. Bring your Passport to verify identity. It was quick and easy, we received our printed results the next day at a desk outside the lobby. Lizards-be aware that there are iguanas that live at the resort and sun themselves on rocks. They were not a problem and were fun to watch. Entertainment-other than the fire pit music and a mariachi/dance performance, there were not a lot of entertainment activities like I’ve experienced at other resorts. Not sure it that is due to Covid but the performances we did experience were great. On-line menus and itineraries-bring your smartphone to dinner as you will have to scan a QR code for the menu. Likewise, the daily itinerary of events will need to be scanned in the lobby. If I had one suggestion, it would be to have all of the menus and the daily itinerary on a tv channel. All in all we had a wonderful experience and do not want to depart. We will be back in the future. Thank you to everyone at Grand Fiesta American for a great week in paradise!

We are hear as I speak and was shocked at the total lack of concern of safety at the main pool. 2 little kids were crawling all over the big rocks at the pool harassing the iguanas spitting pool water and then spraying them with water guns and then jumping into the pool and starting all over again no one said a word until my sister n law told them to quit them their laid back father said it's only water. I for one as and owner here do not want a lawsuit when one of them gets hurt bit obviously GFA has lots of money to spend on such things because nothing was done.

Mirna Leo Pedro was the best waitress/bartender that we had on this trip! She remembered each of our individual orders each night we saw her. She also kept the drinks coming at a great pace. I hope everyone experiences her great service at the lobby bar.

Great resort with a great view. Spent most of our time at the pool, but also hung out at the beach. The beach is not swimmable as it is has some big wave and rocks. We did go into town one day and spent time at the mall/marina. No issues downtown and felt very safe. The foodstuffs Fiesta Americana was great with breakfast being our favorite meal. Cele was our waiter on multiple occasions and he made the meals extra enjoyable. Thank you Cele and Fiesta Americana for the memories.
