Nothing blatently wrong with the hotel, (although a sewer issue in our room caused a 10:00pm room change with no apology at all from management). It is just an average hotel with above average pricing for what it offers. I have been to many all inclusives in Mexico and following are the pros and cons; Pros-It is on a swimmable beach. The oceanfront rooms have lovely views. The food is very good, especially breakfast and lunch at La Palapa. (Which is only available to Royal Service) Cons-Quiet nightlife on site, rooms were on the older side and a bit small and tired, entertainment staff were nice, but uninspiring -no comparison to a Dreams or Club Med. The wine offered was almost undrinkable. I mean while it may be more about the tequila it is disappointing that a brand like Melia would not even provide a halfway decent house wine to serve. I could go on and on about minor disappointments, but the bottom line for me is it was not worth the price. One last point is while it may be off season and different in high time, the restaurant reservation system is silly. At no time did we have a problem walking into any restaurant, yet upon check in we were told we needed reservations and when we tried to book some we were told there was no availability at certain times which was simply not the case.

Beautiful view of the ocean. Besides that, I have nothing nice to say about the resort. Our first room was an ocean room. The room was small with dead bushes/flowers on the terrace. We moved to a swim up room which was listed on their web site as a cheaper room, yet we were charged for $480 more as an upcharge. I did not sign for this charge and wasted countless trips to the royal service desk only to get no answers besides their site was not accurate. I was given an email to their corporate contact but have not received any communication. Besides this bogus charge, not all of the 4 restaurants were open during our stay. Our group made reservations for the other 3 restaurants, only to be told the day of our reservation, that the Mole restaurant was closed due to the workers all having to assist at an outdoor event. Ridiculous. There seems to be an issue with the number of workers they employee versus those they need. The help is sparse. Rooms get cleaned very late in the day. Room service takes for ever. One room in our group did not receive room service for one of our 6 day stay. If you are not staying in the Royal area, you have access to even one less restaurant. I highly do NOT recommend this resort.

Our initial greeting and ease of check-in via the family concierge was wonderful. The suite was enormous and we were able ti instantly relax and settle in. Throughout our stay the family concierge was attentive, making sure we have our choice of dinner reservations every night and even leaving balloon animals in the room for our little one to find. The daily attendant was also wonderful, she even tidied up the kids toys, so I didn't have to lift a finger. I also got one of the best deep tissue massages I've ever had, and would definitely recommend making time for the spa. The protected cove which makes the beach swimmable, was a real highlight. There were 2 items which tarnished an otherwise fabulous trip: 1. No fish tacos! One of my expectations whenever in Cabo is an abundance of fish tacos and ceviche. They were not served in any restaurant onsite, let alone with variety (ie. grilled, raw, fried) 2. Ants. I noticed ants making their way up the dessert display in the lunch buffet, and quickly pointed it out to staff. I was disappointed that upon going back 15 min later, nothing had been done (no food removal or wiping down the ants). It seemed to be ignored. I will note that I never saw them on the breakfast buffet display (same restaurant as lunch), nor at any of the other restaurants.

Had a wonderful 4 day conference at this hotel. The location is beautiful. The hotel facilities and staff are excellent. The rooms are comfortable. The pool is huge with lots of lounges and cabanas. A number of nice restaurants and bar options. Food was good to excellent. Watched whales spouting and breaching from the beach. A bit outside downtown Cabo so beaches are quiet. It is an easy Uber into town. If you are looking for a crazy party go closer to downtown but if you are looking for a relaxing vacation with your spouse this may be the place for you.

My company took us to Los Cabos for our annual Presidents Club incentive trip in January. Going to Cabo in January weather wise - warm during the day, cooler in the evening which means bring a couple pairs of jeans ( I made the mistake of thinking it was going to be very warm the whole time) This was my first time in Cabo as an adult, and wow! Incredible hotel & the service..I cant get over how attentive the staff was. I mean seriously, from the moment we arrived the women were given roses, everyone recieved a cool towel, and refreshing watermelon flavored beverages. The staff was interested in making sure their guests were relaxed, comfortable, and happy. I could not get over the staff, they really made this hotel something special. The room keep service would organize our clothing left out - folding it and putting it in the closet, while turn-down service was chocolates or a surprise dessert from room service! The only complaint I have about the staff is more towards the hotel not staffing enough at the bars. Our drinks often took 30 - 45 minutes in the pool/beach area...Sometimes even longer. The hotel is located away from the main hotel area/downtown, giving it premier views and privacy. Along with this, one of the only swim-able beaches in Cabo. The ocean water - beautiful. I gave 4/5 stars because the breakfast and lunch food options could have been better. They also boast about their several restaurants but not all are open to main guests (Gastrobar has a cost and one other is royal service only). However, they do have included 24/7 room service, which will come at ALL hours of the night and is very good. The other reason for 4/5 stars is they had activities going on, but were not very vocal about it so we happened upon a couple of activities by mere accident. It would have been nice to get schedule of events when we arrived so we could have done more. We stayed in a Jr. Ocean View suite. What I was expecting was something overlooking the ocean, but it was more of the ocean in the background. If you want ocean and no hotel, you must get Ocean Front suite. The room itself was beautiful, they have this open air concept which makes it perfect for that paradise feel of the breeze blowing in off the ocean. The only other complaint I have is that they dont have any free shuttle service... being far from the main marina & downtown where you can enjoy boating activities/nightlife I would imagine them to have some sort of shuttle service and Taxis are quite expensive (35-45$, Uber does work & costs about $10-15 less). The onsite nightlife activity was lacking in my opinion. Overall, an absolutely amazing time. I recommend spending time on the beach, eating dinner from MOLE, and letting the staff take care of you (because they will). I would recommend this hotel to folks looking to have a relaxing and rejuvenate...for a younger crowd this is probably not the place for you!
